Love it. Showing the settings is brilliant. Sharing what you took the time to figure out and help folks get it right is very cool. Also , This tune is fantastic
@@joesjams498 Thanks again Joe! Really appreciate the feedback mate and I'm glad you enjoyed this. Yeah this tune is like a dark swampy rocker, I really do like it, especially this live version. 🍻🎸
@@pauljohnstone547 agreed , swampy rocker. Love it. Lots of folks love the first 3 albums. So many great tunes after that though. Even dig out your soul is prob my fav. Album. Everyone one is good. !!! I really enjoy what you’re doing.
@@joesjams498 You are so right Joe. They have loads of great tunes after their 90s success. For me I see them as 2 different bands. 90s Oasis was straight in your face no nonsense rock n roll and when Andy and Gem arrived, the sound matured and they brought a different dynamic. I don't prefer one Oasis over the other, I love them both and they are just different. Their last tour was the best they sounded as band (Liam's vocals aside, he was never going to sound as good as he was when he was in his early 20s) and the guitar tones on it in particular were huge.
@@PellPas Thanks again Pell! Really appreciate the support and your kind words! Glad you liked the settings added at the start, I thought it would be a good thing to include so people can see what I'm using. I used that new SS2 clone on this, great sounding pedal btw 👌

@markaxlbyrne4353 it will be awesome mate, and will be worth waiting for. I won't ever take my bigsby off my 345, I absolutely love it. It's great for bits where there's a break in the song or messing about for an outro or even controlling feedback. You will have lots of fun with it!
@ thanks mate look forward to doing all these things 😁👌🏻 will look the bollocks too 🔥 hopefully get back this weekend. What’s next on the list cover wise?
@@markaxlbyrne4353 yeah it does look great especially on a cherry one. As yourself and a few others asked I'm working on Fade in/out at the G-Mex. Done morning glory again last week so back to the Gmex again. I didn't want to do too many from GMex all at the one time in case it bored people off haha. I hope to have that up soon, it's just finding the time in between doing the house up, but I'm getting there.
Awesome man, love seeing your pedal board too. Great setup man. Are you in a band? I see that Oasis are doing some Australia dates, I was going to try and get tickets, but too late...
I'm not in a band, haven't been for many years actually. I only started my interest in playing guitar again over the last 2 years after quite a large spell without picking it up. I really did miss it man, and I'm kinda sad that I stopped playing for so long. At least I'm back at it now. Thanks for watching again Choey! Try Twickets nearer the time for tickets over your side of the world, I'm sure you'll pick some up somewhere down the line 👍
@@pauljohnstone547 Ah man, it was the same with me. I used to do nothing but play guitar and shows (small ones) in the mid-late 2000s back in England, than from around 2011 I had other distractions in life and would just pick the guitar up once a week or so... about 5 years ago when I moved to NZ with a new job I just made it a daily routine again and can't believe it took me so long!
Mate I’ve two words for ya….. F#%k yea 🤘🏻 absolutely awesome mate. Not sure if you remember but I actually requested this with you a while back. Like the actual gig too from Wembley 08. Class mate. Awesome job. Love this version of the song. Way better than the album version. When that solo drops later on the song too 👌🏻 rock n roll man. Btw mate when I play this song (I could be wrong here) but I have been playing in that Alt tuning with the B string dropped to an A and also in drop D on the E string. Is this right? Think it’s defo drop D. Maybe I have made up the Alt tuning? I’ll be giving this solo a go now by trying to follow your vid.
Thanks a lot mate! Yeah I remember you asking for this so thought I'd give it a go yesterday haha. As far as tunings go I am playing it in standard. Noel is definitely in standard for it, as the song that comes after this is Waiting For The Rapture where he changes guitar that is in drop D. If he were in drop D for both he'd probably not change his guitar over just the same as when he does Rock n roll star into Lyla, they are both in that drop b string tuning and no guitar change. Thanks for watching again Mark, glad you enjoyed it mate! 👍
@@pauljohnstone547nice one thanks mate I’ll have to try of this again and maybe I’ve been playing it slightly wrong haha. Btw seen you also playing with that Spark Boost pedal. I bought that a while back and works on all my amps way better than my Boss Blues Driver or my Ibinez Tubescreamer. Particularly sounds great on the Vox AC15.
@@markaxlbyrne4353I think Gem starts in standard tuning then goes drop D for the outro. If you watch closely when Noel is doing the arpeggiated part and it's only him playing, Gem is tuning his guitar here. It's just a guess but I think he's dropping his E string to a D and when the band comes back in it gives it that heavy swampy sound. Maybe just my ears but I think that's what might be happening. That TC spark boost is an incredible pedal and especially for the money. So many possibilities with it, I use it on the fat setting just to thicken my tone out a bit.
@@pauljohnstone547 thanks mate. Yea I will have to try again. Like that bit were you go from like 1st fret to 3rd and back again quickly… I have tried on standard tuning and drop D and only sounded right to me on drop D. Mate you the man. So just picked up the acoustic to play along to your video and practice and work out where I was going wrong. So now know what I was doing wrong thinking it was in the diff tuning. Watched your vid played along. Sounds fucking awesome got it down now. And also alternate between Gems part going between 5th and 7th fret and Noel’s basic D aus thingy. Anyways mate bang on educational video again. Even started to learn that solo just off watching where you go on fret board. Got it all down apart from the that goes up higher on fret board towards the end still need to work that bit out. Probs looks up the proper tab for that bit 👌🏻
