    Now this is what I remember watching on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. Think Fast, Finders Keepers, Super Sloppy Double Dare, Make the Grade, Mr. Wizard's World, and You Can't Do That On Television. I loved them all!

      @@robertarchambault3466 Fart huffing TV and marketing execs and focus groups ruined all that a long time ago.

    This is the Think Fast I remember watching. I can't recall when Skip Lackey hosted it. Michael did a good job as host.

      I like this version with Michael as host than Lackey's version. Lackey seemed like an overactive flea on a hot brick, Michael was more in control, yes, the jokes were corny & bad but they worked for him.

      Carrington was 89, Lackey was 90

      @@gladfan1989 Plus, “Think Fast” came at a time when “Double Dare” and “Finders Keepers” were still relatively popular both on cable and syndication. I loved your assessment on Skip Lackey. He was a little overactive.

    Wow! This takes me back, cuz this is one episode I have NEVER seen (In fact, I remember these same characters, in another episode where the "beauticians were in locker 1 & 14, & the superheroes were in 7 & 15.) I love this also cause it's very seldom that there are pairs on the same side in Carrington's version. This is awesome, & you're great for posting this. I do wish they were split apart like episode "A", cuz I won't lie but I love the craziness that is the "Locker Room" :-)

    I remember Skip's term, though what sticks out most in my mind is the red herring during the locker room.

    @kenhill295 This was my favorite of all time, & brought my love of converse. The locker room was always my favorite part of the show, & the carrington versions were more funner for me, cuz you guys tried to improvise a lot. I still never figured out what exactly was a "Tennis Samurai" that the guys in locker 1 & 7 were interpreting.

    If anyone has seen Robert Seidelman and Hardcore Kid's review of this show, this particular video features the absolute worst "Event" in the show's history which they excoriated rather severely. It's at 10:21.

    You know, that "Time's up" buzzer was also used on Double Dare when time ran out in the first two rounds and on the obstacle course. Same thing with "Make the Grade."

    The bonus round was a joke. The best strategy was to just hit all the buttons one after another and hope you could do that 6 times in 60 seconds.

    Is it just me or does Think Fast feel like more like a PBS kid show trying to be as irreverent as Nickelodeon? (especially the Michael Carrington episodes)

    • @Tubewings
      @Tubewings 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's funny you say that because Carrington's episodes were shot at WHYY-TV, which is the Philadelphia PBS station.
