I would say the Spear, but only on Valhala because of all the new runic gliphs that you can add to it makes it OP. I run the with (R2 embed element damage increases) and there’s another gliph where every time you throw the spear it gives you a new element! Plus the 2 gliphs that enchances kratos special attacks and abilities. And if you get the ranged damage too, man the spear is the most OP in all the runs that I had (over 100 runs) LOL

I mainly ran spear to for this reason. Enemies can't even get near me most of the time
I have discovered this as well. I never used the spear in the main game, but in Valhalla it's my go to.
thats what I do as well. Turning each spear into an element bomb is super OP and then you can combine it with a glyph that creates an element storm for every spear you detonate
I’ve felt the blades are best and the most transformative skill is the r2 heavy combo that extends a fire shockwave out for each hit. Turns the blades almsot in to a ranged attack and the shockwave staggers enemies with the bombs. Also, tons of flames and burn as a result. Paired with the triangle damage booster and other perks that proc off of burn, it’s really OP build.

Burn is what does the most damage, so yeah. Frost just slows down enemies. Boost Kratos’ burn and your good.

@@GameBreakerGod I think key is blue rifts first (no gold dust), then blue rifts with gold dust, then yellow no dust, yellow with dust, red no dust, red with dust - then boat, desert, hrolf, Tyr. Basically you get more point from harder rifts, and get point multiplier for higher number of chosen defeated, so beat easiest chosen first and hardest last

I like the blades more, even though I've mastered all of them and completed my runs on the hardest difficulty, I have a soft spot for the blades.

I was trying different ones but the spear is the best Imo. There's the elemental hunter glyph that gives you a different element with every throw. You bombard them with elements and it's dope.

I prefer the blades because you get perks that increase the damage of the whiplash attack and it’s crazy powerful then you use the axe when they’re on fire fully

Some people might think it's slow and deals low damage. I personally prefer Blades and Spear over the Axe, but I'm aware that I don't know how to use it efficiently.@@ДанилоЯнчук
@user-fq6rr6sl8d try using the flame whiplash + R2 combo to apply burn before using the axe on enemies, axe is my worst weapon but it's really strong when you force yourself to use it more

@@-k7228 Normally we would just do a normal evade, but when things are getting out of hand rolling is a good option to escape dangerous situations but then kratos gets cold😭

i love all the possibilities of builds, my 2 favorite are blades and spear tho, blades with the flame whiplash and you can do an elemental build with the spear
The Blades can get a pretty insane perk synergy with whiplash that refreshes all cooldown pretty much instantly.
It’s so broken, nothing can touch you as you just spam runic attacks every second.

I feel like Blades Master Thyself stream will be short. Although I'm honestly hoping to see more Spear runs, watching good spear gameplay is just sublime.

Those dodges and sidesteps are so smooth. When I try that I take hits anyway.
Blades for me. They're the only weapon I've used where I've managed to beat all 15 rifts before the first timer finished. The amount of stackable perks you can buff the flaming whiplash attack with is absolutely disgusting.

I beat him while he had the katana today finally. I didn't use a res stone either. I had the spear perks though with the ranged attacks and all that. It was crazy easy for some reason. I just hate the huntress spot in that fight when he jumps on the door and she shows that killed me more than Tyr did haha

I'm gonna try an axe build after this. Built pretty good blade and spear builds in the past but no axe build yet
Blades with 'Scorched Earth' (mash triangle and R2) just wrecks everything. Makes the Greece time challenges a breeze and quickly brings Tyr's health down. On high difficulty you can't stagger him indefinitely, but still find it one of the easiest runs and OP builds. Tons of glyph synergies when go the blade route. Recommend. PS. personally found the spear path hit and miss depending on the chests (making it my least favourite personally).

Did a blades of chaos run where there was a shockwave effect on any heavy attack AND at the end of combos. Spamming that shi with some other percs was so good

All 3 weapons are beyond powerful, all comes down to how you play. I was a fan of the axe when I played the game, but really dell in love with the blades in Valhalla. I also enjoyed the spear even though you don't get it till the last 1/3 of the game, but I have found, it all comes down to Mastery and Combo's. Master the combos and any weapon is your best friend. In the main game, you do have to juggle a bit also based on armor and other factors but for Valhalla, it plays too fast for that to matter why armor is cosmetic.
Axe is cool and probably the best Boss Beater, but I have more fun with the blades.

Broooo y’all sleep on the blades on chaos for Valhalla, stack a cooldown build using the cooldown reduction on flame whip attack glyph and the cooldown reduction on flame whip charge, stack the blade immolation dmg glyph (no need to activate it). Along with the base increase to blades dmg from muspelheim, grab the burn dmg increase, with status duration increase. Then add the scorched earth dmg increase, (drastically increasing flame whip/smash dmg) this syncs with the flame whip cooldown reduction Bc ur going to be using that mov a lot, stack as much defense/runic/ cooldown as possible get Tartarus rage as ur heavy runic and ur preferred light and u hav an almost 3-6 second recharge on blade runics stacking massive damage and burn.

I beat the final part of Tyr with the axe even tho I tried so hard with the spear. So yea I'm saying the axe is legit. 2 runic axe attacks with extreme Cooldown did the job for me.

Funny question: How do you do the attack cancel running animation with the fully charged axe?
Hold forward on analog stick then press R1 and then X/O whichever one is your evade button. Practice until you find the timing that works for you

I was tryna master with the blades but in the end I started getting really good with the spear and I had a good build going tbh I thought I never beat the dlc that day cause I was still getting use to the spear but still managed to beat Tyr🤣😭
