Im with you doing cnc wheels, today my first run with my brand new to me gp-10 os max10 in less than one and a half minute doing a turn both front wheels came off, like those videos of F1 when in Pits they dont put well the wheels and then spinning came off, same happens here and was something without a bump or a rock... was about the traction and how fragile they are... will find some replace but with the fear of happen again.
damn, first you got me into nitro f1 with the serpent and the 1/5, (got me some f2004 1/8, f2007 1/7 and the rb7 1/7.... now with this video... hunting for a gp10 hahaha

Unlike electric you can hear, smell, and feel these cars. Electric may be faster but so is a laser pointer, both lacking excitement for me. I want my nitro fix!
You need to tune the low speed needle,it's way out,try the pinch test, pinching the fuel line as close to the engine as you can, should cut out in 3 seconds and lean out just before it stalls.
Nice video ! I also own an 1/8 nitro F1 from Kyosho ,it’s a slightly newer one which is known as the F2004 ,but it doesn’t matter. I guess that the size of the wheels must be identical to each other! There’s an online shop here in Germany who sells these Foam Wheel sets,perhaps it could also be a nice alternative for you because the rims are way stronger than these of the stock kyosho Nice regards from another passionate nitro driver , Miguel
I have both the deagostini/Kyosho 1/8 F2004 and the 1/7 RB7. Both were non hobby grade and needs alot of mods and tunning. The F2004 have toy grade rubber tires and wheels omg! Replaced them with 1/10 buggy dish wheels and rubbers in the end. Wished I can get a decent vintage Kyosho 1/8 F1 GP series via ebay or similar but not easy...
@@MLOO123 There is a company who makes brilliant wheels for the F2004 that are really good quality, just search for „GP Speed Tires „ You want to go for following type : -Front : 32mm wide / 36 shore -Rear : 44mm wide / 35 shore ------- I’ll try to make a new video with this wheels on my F2004 soon, it behaves like an completely different car, because you’re right about your statement in respect of the stock ones,their nice for the shelf but absolutely crappie for drive proposals. With some modifications and a nice set up the F2004 is a very enjoyable car👍 If you have any further questions,feel free to ask
@@MLOO123 I actually passed on one. Reason being is parts and diagrams are nonexistent. If you have an issue with something obscure, you're screwed. Went for a KF01 instead.
@@OggaDugga Yes, the 1/10 KF01 with Sirio 09 is much way better, but the 2 speed is hard to find now. In the end I even got the 1/12 Spada 09 & 09L 4WD with the same engine and they were so much fun with the 2 speeds!
It's a massive shame that the nitro RC segment is on life support in 2023, let alone the on road nitro segment, let alone the single seater/F1 nitro segment. A 1/8 to 1/6 scale nitro F1 RC would be a dream and I can't believe almost no RC car was ever made to those specs. The FG 1/5 petrol F1 cars are amazing but far too big and expensive for me. This Kyosho is as close to my dream RC car as it gets! I hope Kyosho re-releases this kit one day. I've even been tempted to buy a Traxxas Revo 3.3 as a base to build a 1/8-1/6 nitro F1 car myself, by designing a custom long wheelbase, low profile, narrow flat aluminium chassis out of a basic aluminium sheet, remove all the front drivetrain and lock the centre diff, run the big block conversion kit, and finally the hard part of CAD designing body and wings to be 3D printed. If only I had enough time!
im about to get a nitro again, after 15 years or something.. xD they need way more maintenance than electric, but theres just nothing like a nitro screaming across the parking lot at 20k rpm :) still got my old kyosho rallycar from 15 years ago, but the piston is gummed up 👎
