You literally polished a turd, awesome job, I too just got wheels for a 1/32 30 yr old 68 Cougar plastic model, it's gleaming now with emerald green paint polished to perfection, 5 spoke mags from Muscle Machines Firebird, foiled trim, oh man it looks amazing.
Yeah we also used to call that style of wheel kidney beans mags and the movie car was a '76 Gran Torino gt and your rendition turned out so damn well it's exactlly how the movie car looked awesome job thnx for the hard work

Lots of hours looking in flea markets, on Ebay and other sites.youd think it wouldn't be so darn hard to find aluminum slots.it really does look like the movie car version with the tires. Unfortunately the hopped up car and the cameo by David and Paul were the only good things about that movie.

Hey buddy,nah queensland open for business 7 up and running again in fact,they have now moved all the football teams from all the other states and are playing all the games there now the AFL league,mind you they didn't start playing till early last month,the football codes here usually start their seasons mid/late march normally,victoria has gone back into lockdown because of the second wave covid outbreak worse this time now than in march/april when it began,new south wales will be next the wat it's going I expect?,meanwhile here in Tassie we surrounded by water across the straight and those victorians,tasmania still hasn't opened it's borders so far,so so far,so good man,been cold here this winter so far too,to add insult to injury,cheers

1/35th scale is challenging to work with, because very few available accessories are in that scale. You did a tremendous job on this junker. Incredible transformation, via tons of frustration and effort. 👍😎
Yes its really a tough scale to find anything for. I had this casting for a half a year before i found an appropriate set of wheels that were remotely close. Lots of searching with no luck til i discovered the Muscle machines slots
Oh mate! I absolutely love this. Turned out incredible. I’ve had one of these since I was a kid (with the figurines too) but never used to play with it as it was an odd scale and much bigger than my other toy cars, also the suspension felt crap. It’s always been a shelf queen.

Took you a whjile George but you *nailed* this one.👍👌 What a difference it makes when you puty the right wheels on a car. So often, you see "Starsky and Hutch" cars and the stripe is all wrong. This is about the best I've seen. I haven't compared it side-by-side with the tv car but *it just looks right* on this one. It was a lovely casting, loads of detail as you said, one of the advantages of these larger scale models. You can be proud of this one. 👌

George the Torino turned out absolutely gorgeous. It looks like whoever had it tried turning it into Hutch's shitbox lol. You built it like Corgi should have. The humidity is just playing havoc with my builds. Luckily I've gotten one paint job to turn out great. Unfortunately I have 3 builds I need to figure out how to get done within the next week including my first commission.
