Oh, forgot to mention, if you wanna make it wieldy, u can file or saw off the nubs and use a heated piece of metal to smooth out the stumps. It won't look as pretty but it will be more comfortable to grab in the middle and wield like a fighting staff.

Perfect size for hiking stick. I didn't know there was a staff. I got the the 38inch walking stick.

Just a pro tip man, but have some gorilla glue handy, the knob is going to wiggle off some where down the line. It's just three pegs on the knob piece that go into three holes drilled into the staff. I originally just used regular super glue on the outter surface of the staff that touches the inside of the knob piece, thinking it would be sufficient, but it got loose again after about two or three years later. Repeated the process but this time, I dropped a few drops of gorilla glue into each of the holes and just put the knob back into place for a better hold and its been good ever since.

Hey, you know if 1 and 1/8 “ can also work or is 7/8” mandatory in your opinion?

@@crimansizers5840 ,… Well it’s pretty close so it might work fine. You could wrap some tennis tape around the tip first if it somehow was too loose. But the 7/8” inch is pretty snug so I think it might work. You could even glue it on. A little super glue perhaps.
