You missed another fact , when partition happen there was no exited democratic structure at place in Pakistan specifically Karachi (that time capital of Pakistan), Only existing infrastructure at place was Army at Rawalpindi..You got 40% of Army even being 1/4th of the area of that time India also when partition happen Army was given special power to maintain peace but your army misused that power given and started ruling.
By the way your Army is the only army in the world which is actually a business entity ( 100+ companies are running in the name of foundation)

I watched ur episode with Munid farukh on jio about the Marsal Law. my take is that Pakistan is a Pretorian country where military consider themselves as potential forerunner of power. we Indians died fighting with nonviolence for independence and in the due process we exercised democracy under limited franchise given by brits, which we further upgraded when we got full independence and Pakistan was busy forming ISI back then. the prime target of zinna is to make Pakistan and they have no clue how to run a country after that. No wonder, it ended up Pakistan as a praetorian country.

Actually if we see the past history of Jinnah he was a congress leader but had limited knowledge of politics as he did not fight for independence , he was always hand in glow with the British, There were many tall muslim leaders like Maulana Abul kalam, Khan Abdul Gaffar khan and many others these leaders fought for independence shoulder to shoulder along with other hindu leaders and even went to jail for months together,but jinnah altogether was inexperienced.

Brilliant answers given by Najam Sethi Saheb. He is reasonable, bold ,unbiased and he has the good of Pakistan at heart. I only wonder why he is being hunted down by Pakistani establishment. I, as an Indian, have admired his forthright views and wish that he should be given pride of place in journalism in Pakistan ,if not, in administration. A person like him should be acknowledged.
Indian constitution was written by very intelligent core whilst Pakistan constitution was laid down by fundamental chuthiyas.
Bhutto made constitution of pakistan in 1971 in which there was a clause of death sentence for who ever general involve in martial law.
But when Zia took over, he tore down the pages of constitution in the parliament. And called it rubbish papers. Supreme court at that time justified zia martial law even though its illegal and unconstitutional. So my point is nothing could stop pak army from imposing martial law not even constitution

At some point there was talk of offering Jinnah the post of Prime Minister to prevent partition and transfer of population but Jinnah still wouldn't give up the idea of separate electorates on the basis of religion so Nehru said no to any compromise

If Kashmiri can ask for self determination why not Balochistan. Kashmir was formally acceded to India by its ruler as per process in partition. Balochistan was captured by Pakistan and till date under oppression. They should also be privileged with right to self-determination
