      When people say everyone is Beautiful, that’s a load of crap and you’re not being honest .
      I’ve seen some pretty ugly ass people however, many of those ugly people were Beautiful people on the inside . 🙂

    My younger brother is 19 and has Down Syndrome. He is currently working with a professional theater company to produce his first original play that he's written over the past year and a half.
    He was acting in another play and the director noticed that he was always writing stuff when they were rehearsing scenes he wasn't in. She asked to send some of his writing to garner funding to put on the play. "Down Syndrome By The Dozen" written by Jacob Ballantyne will be playing a debut run in Kingston ON this spring. He will also be acting in the production as part of the professional crew. I am so proud of him.

    I'm lost what's scary about down syndrome? if I had a child with down syndrome I wouldn't be scared and I'm not afraid of people with down syndrome. also if someone is afraid of people with down syndrome then something is wrong with them.

    • @SpiralBreeze
      @SpiralBreeze 8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Thomas Reagan I don't think people are afraid of them I think it's more that they get frustrated by their output, how they speak (which may be difficult to comprehend) and they may present as being "slow". These traits can aggravate many neurotypical people. At least that's what I've noticed. Also some people feel that since you can test early on in the pregnancy for trisomy than there is no longer a need to continue on when you are found to have one.

    They always show the happy-go-around ones. Many of them, in fact, come with a lot of serious health issues or will develop them later in life. Many of them require 24/7 assistance with feeding and physiological necessities. It's not all kumbaya...

    • @tompatras4304
      @tompatras4304 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      SPECTRAL -- If all you are living for is yourself and your chief aim in life is your own personal happiness, and you have no hope beyond this life, than your comment has merit. The smallest package in the world is a person wrapped up in themselves. I know many people who care for someone 24/7, and while its not easy, they would tell you they don't regret it. They are learning what true love looks from the ones they care for and their lives have been enriched. The truth is, all of us have a serious health issue that threatens to destroy us eternally -- it's called our sinful nature. There is only one remedy for this disease and His name is Jesus Christ. He paid for our healing by taking our disease on himself on the cross. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life." God loves you Spectral, and He loves every Down Syndrome child that has ever been born. Eventually we all will pass from this life. Those with Down Syndrome who have trusted in what Jesus Christ did on the cross for them will be in heaven. Will you?

Many come with other defects such as heart and bowel defects. So to those with disrespectful comments, I pray that you will see what a miracle these children really are and be kind to them instead of hateful.

Please show a video after this one of a forty year old women with down syndrome who has no family, is a luekemia patient ( because people with Ds are ten times as likely to get it) , has heart problems and is looking for love but can't understand why she's alone in life. THAT'S the reality and it's pretty scary. Kids are cute and everyone wants to cheer them on and help but adults aren't cute. Will it be scary if she can't read or write as an adult???

    I would feel gutted because I have problems with my hearing
    meaning I have no hearing at all I'm profoundly deaf and I wear 2 cochlear implants and they help me hear.
    So she has downs syndrome and it's not scary wow that was a brave thing to say on camera she is a beautiful smart girl so I don't know why those people are horrid and selfish about her so pls be nice thank you very much

    Acceptance should already be total. Example: you get a crisp $20 bill from the bank. In your rush, it gets crumpled in your wallet. Now it's wrinkled. You stop to make a purchase from a street vendor and that $20 falls out onto the street and gets wet. Now that $20 bill is crinkled and wet, and doesn't look like the others you might have in your wallet....but it's still worth $20. Worth is not measured by appearance or change.

    • @andrewsmith74
      @andrewsmith74 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a very bad analogy. A crumpled banknote has the same value as a new one. DS people are retarded.

    • @lindsaydoyle7488
      @lindsaydoyle7488 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew Smith you should probably get out of your cave and into the real world. You are sad person if you have nothing better to do then call DS people "retarded".....holy crap what decade do you live in?!? If you have an opinion on something, instead of trolling around and commenting on other people's post, write your own.

    • @andrewsmith74
      @andrewsmith74 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Retarded is the correct term for what they are. Every DS person has very low intelligence. That's a fact. Your claim that it's merely a difference of appearance - like a crumpled banknote in comparison to a new one - is ridiculous. If your claim were true, there would be scientists, professors, Olympic medal winners etc. who have DS. Most DS people are never able to learn to read or write.

    • @lindsaydoyle7488
      @lindsaydoyle7488 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andrew Smith Tim Harris, Karen Gafney, Melissa Reilly, Megan McCormick, Angella Bachiller....that doesn't even get into those with DS who are successful actors,comedians, and artists. So according to what you are saying, essentially an 8 or 9 year old can't not read or write....as the average IQ of a DS adult is 50....same as an 8 or 9 year old. Instead of going off the BS that you have been told, maybe you should do some research before opening your mouth.

    This girl is such an inspiration. I don't see why this video has so many dislikes when we should be cheering this girl on. She doesn't let anyone bring her down. She is kind, and doesn't let haters get to her. People should be proud of who they are, no matter what, just like this girl is doing. She obviously tries to stay happy and I love it. This girl deserves to be noticed for this, and I'm glad she did, even though I had no idea who she was until I came across this on TH-cam.
    Again, this girl is an inspiration to everyone in the world. Yes, she has down syndrome, but she doesn't care. She keeps smiling, so it's more like up syndrome because she doesn't care if people don't like her, but I don't know why they wouldn't because this girl is kind and deserves this.

      @@andrewsmith74 Only an underachiever feels the need to try and put others' down. You must be very insecure about something. Plus going far to you means a PHD but to different people there are different ideas of what going far means. What's clear to me is you probably never got as far as You wanted to go. But since I'm sassy not spiteful i genuinely pray for people like yourself to come to repentance and place your burdens, which you clearly have, on Jesus so he can help you and change your heart.
