- In this video, I show you how to stream video on a Harley.
This is amazing and I never thought this to be possible, I show you how to stream video on a Harley. This is accomplished with @OTTOCAST Play2Video wireless USB adapter. I do not suggest you to stream video on a Harley when riding but rather only when stopped. The Ottocast Play2Video operates via WiFi from a network or via a hotspot from your smartphone.

Thanks for the video. I’m unclear on if this will do what I need. Maybe you can help. I have a 2022 RG Limited with WHIM installed. Do you know if this will allow me you use CarPlay without my iPhone being plugged in? Thanks you…
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes this or the U2 Air Pro from Ottocast will allow you to use CarPlay without the phone being plugged into the motorcycle. You do still need to have either a WHIM or jumper so that the infotainment system has a headset connected. CarPlay will not work without a headset being active on the bike or having the jumper to fool the infotainment system into thinking a headset is active. The headset requirement is an Apple thing not a Harley thing. Since you have the WHIM, you will need a Bluetooth headset. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. You need to have your boom gts flashed for carplay/whim for this to work. Even if you are using Android.
That is correct. I believe I mentioned in the video Apple Carplay must be enabled for the video streaming adapter to work. Thanks for watching and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
How do you flash it for CarPlay to work?
Could really info on which years this will work on. Any years/versions of the Boom system?
As I stated in the video, the Play2Video adapter will work on any vehicle with Apple CarPlay enabled. So for Harleys that would be on the Boom GTS infotainment system with Apple CarPlay enabled. I hope that helps.

How long does your battery hold if your watching Netflix? I can barely listen to music for half an hour to get the voltage below 12v. Thats enough for needing the jump starter...
I am not sure how long the battery will last if using this to stream. I don't usually use the adapter for streaming that often. I typically use it for the android auto wireless capability. Thanks for watching and ride safe. ✌️👊👍

Do you think this product will be ok for the new CVO 2023 Road Glide?

Android Auto starts up when I plug a chord to my phone. But does the device need to bluetooth to the bike or the phone to work? I'm having a little difficulty getting everything to work.
The device needs to connect to your phone. If you are seeing Android Auto then it is connected. To get the video capability to operate you need to have Apple Car Play enabled either with a jumper or with the WHIM installed. 👍

Hello. How can I know if my 2020 Street Glide Special has a CarPlay Enable? Or do you know what I need to do? Thanks
For car play to operate you will need either a WHIM installed or a jumper. One way to test it is to plug your apple phone into the USB and see if car play appears on the screen. If not, you need one of the two options installed as I noted. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 👊👊👍

The play2video adapter does support USB multimedia playback. So that would be music and video files. I personally have not used that functionality but it does have the capability. I think you have to have a whim installed on your buke
Thanks for watching and commenting. As mentioned in the video you must have Carplay enabled on the bike for this to work. You could have a WHIM with headset or a jumper installed on the bike. This will only work with the BOOM GTS 6.5 Infotainment system that is found on 2019 to 2023 touring Harley-Davidsons. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you.
