    why do they use orange lights not red blue

      those are just advisory lights that run across the back of the light bar. They still have the blue and red lights that run across the front, idk why the primary officer in the traffic stop had his off, usually the backup officer will just have those advisory lights on when they are assisting another officer. Most California police agencies have those yellow lights that display on back of light bars, some will even have them run across the top of the back window.

      As a public safety officer, then orange lights are used as a cautionary warning to other drivers that there is a parked car to which is either having issues, or being towed for some reasons..could often be used when someone breaks down or during a traffic stop after everything calms down. They are supposed to be used during traffic stops after the driver has pulled over because the flashing blue and red tend to be a dangerous distracting on high flowing areas.

    the do have red and blue lights in the back not the front the front they have red and bule lights
