I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I MISSED THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH CHARLES AND THESE WONDERFUL CATS! I used to take JAZZ promoter Hilly Sanders to see Charles when ever he was playing in NYC! Nice set!!

FYI (because it was kind of a stress) This is not Charles' horn! The first set a major spring popped (or however one would put that), Paul (the owner of Smoke) called Vincent Herring and two of his students brought in two different horns. In the meantime, I called someone, Charles called Ed Joffe, AND the Charles' repair man SAW it on the stream and brought his gear down to fix the horn. Within 40 minutes Charles had all of those options. ONLY IN NY! Really have to love it!!! Thanks for your comments.

Super balance action sounds are so sweet.
I used to play Selmer with a Meyer mouthpiece until I found a Brillhard from 1942. That changed everything, it's simply marvelous.
