    "This is Japan. There are many reasons why."
    The absolute confidence.

      camera in japan street view sits closer to the ground than other countries. it's an instant giveaway that makes Japan one of the easiest countries to identify. A lot of what looks very impressive in competitive geoguessr is meta stuff like this and not actually knowledge of geography(though you need that as well to be really good).

      Besides the camera angle, the road markings, power lines, and foliage are all pretty distinctive.

    18:17 havrd: "OK, I'm in the.....City of.....Friendship / Cordiality" mumrik: *looks furiously for it on the map*

    To this day I label every mountain I see in the distance as "big omegapoggers mountain", so good job in making this run that memorable.

    37:12 I laughed SO HARD. The final realization that it is an elementary school sent me overboard.

    "Bienvenido a la ciudad de la cordialidad" it's "Welcome to the city if cordiality." Just a way of saying that it's a very cordial city!
    Amazing speedrun, never seen anyone play coop before

    5:00 As a Malaysian, even I never realized that the black stickers on our power line poles only exist in Peninsular Malaysia and not in East Malaysia. Interesting!

    Further proof that knowledge of any sort can be turned into a challenge, and experts at anything are entertaining to watch! Very fun run guys; thanks for sharing!

    Very funny to see them caught up on the city's slogan "The city of cordiality" and misinterpret it as the "City of Cordialidad" Language is wild.

    A super unique and interesting run. I love geoguesser runs, due to it being in the real world the knowledge cap is infinite. I liked the way the co op demonstration let us hear out loud some of the stuff a runner would usually just go through in their head.

    Had the privilege of seeing this live during the marathon. Fantastic!

  • @ImTheSecretSquare
    @ImTheSecretSquare 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    lol, I'm sitting here yelling at the screen, "Talk about the Our Lady of Fatima chapel, it's the only point of interest!" And then one of them mentions it in passing, they both say they've seen it, and then they *never talk about it again* and keep talking about intersections, and nearly lose a point because of it.

  • @EleventhOcean

    Very impressive how they narrow down country, region, and then city in a matter of seconds before getting into the granular process of finding the exact intersection. I can barely even guess country!

    Jesus Christ some of the things these guys just know when it comes to pinpointing their location is just... Exceedingly impressive! Ah yes, that light pole looks Argentinean. Oh a black sticker on a pole there? Means were in mainland Malaysia. These guys, man... They have that big brain. Next level world knowledge right here! Actually pretty neat and impressive tbh. Could be useful in real life too. Who knows?
