Servant of God Frank Duff is the greatest Irishman of the 20th century🙏 I am a member for about 7 years and it is the very best prayer group possible if it’s worked well🙏 It’s prayer and active work is the key to working it well🙏 At the moment like every aspect of the Church in Ireland it’s weak here now but strong in other countries TG🙏 I think the greatest period in its history could well be ahead as eventually people will start to turn back to faith when all the lies of the culture lead so many to despair🙏 Thanks for sharing this wonderful interview🙏
Thank you for posting Robert. When I was 18 the Legion Of Mary came to our town, 12 miles north of Drogheda to set up a ladies Presidium. A friend asked me to join. Best decision I could have made at that time. The formation was excellent. I became less self-centred and more focused on "other" Frank Duff came to Drogheda twice. He was quite deaf. We were encouraged to get up and speak what was in our heart. Low and behold before I know it , I was up on my feet.! A beautiful down to earth Saintly Man. Thanks be to the most Holy Trinity and Mother Mary for this wonderful Apostolate.🙏🌹
I share Frank Duff's birthday but I'd never seen him nor heard him speak until now. Thank you Robert for posting. I'd gladly listen to more on Frank Duff if you have any more material.
It was lovely to see this interview, thank you, Robert. Mr. Frank Duff's love of our Blessed Mother and his commitment in helping souls shines throughout.
@@thecatholicman Absolutely, I still have the Mass leaflet somewhere, I came across it a couple of years ago when I was rummaging for something. I actually met Frank Duff when I was a kiddie, my Dad was in the Legion (myself also, much later) I served Mass in Whitefriars St Church when Bishop Sheen came to Ireland and preached in that Church, around 1968 or thereabouts. Might as well tell my whole story while I'm at it 😆 Living in France for the past 35 years.
God bless the Legion of Mary around the World. Pray for the canonization of the servant of God Frank Duff and Venerables Edel Quinn and Alphonsus Lambe!
It was great seeing Mr. Frank Duff and hear him speak. I was in the Legion of Mary and loved being a part of it. However the leader chose to move and broke it up. To this day I moved away but can't seem to find a Catholic Church that has it
Yes they can. Just so you know our praesidium in Belfast has 20 members and a few years ago we had only 1 lady! So it can be done with God and Our Lady’s help 🙏🏼 Especially with the good support of a parish priest if you can find a good, really Marian priest. What better way would you have to spend your life than creating such a thing 🙏🏼💙📿

Was at his funeral in the 80s. Huge crowd, great man.
That must have been some funeral

Love his sence of humour
I think he would be very disappointed with the lack of mass attendance and churchs closing due to shortage of priests.Much prayer needed.
Disappointed isn't the word ! He probably wouldn't recognise his own country if he was to return today, sadly.
Divine FIAT!

Was a woman part of the LoM.start?
It was mainly women!
Totally, women were the pillar of the Legion when it started in Dublin all those years ago, and wonderful women they were.
