I've lived in Seacoast NH my whole life, and over the last ten years the winters have been trending much closer to what you guys get in the Pacific Northwest throughout all but northern most New England. So a lot of the things you mentioned not having to worry about in the East Coast we are now having to do.
If I said not having to worry about, that is a wrong statement, safety should be on the back of everyone’s mind. The difference when dealing with very cold temps is that it is harder to treat with salt and ice-melt and often have snow and ice present for days. Interesting to hear the climate is changing. It will be a tough go trying to re train and educate the east. Please like and subscribe!
Thanks for the kind words. I think I am just over 2 months old… so we will see what happens and where this goes. What have noticed is there is a huge spike when others share my videos to forums or FB groups… so feel free and help spread the word… or your favourite video I have done. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much. We are beginning the snow plow side of our company, I'm so grateful I watched this video, I'm sure it will save me thousands of dollars, and a lot of headache in the long run.
I would appreciate your input on this… Why do most companies set a ( trigger depth) to respond? Also many snow contractors allow the client to call them when salt or sanding is needed..I feel it is better to allow snow contractor to have control of when to salt and sand as by the time you get a call from client, a slippery situation could be hours old..
You need a trigger to dictate when services should be performed. In snow removal snow WILL accumulate! it has to. but the trigger is set so that there is a clear understanding at what point you will service. Trigger and response time are two different things. Regarding your second concern. Those that do on call work don't know the best way to run a snow business for salting. We are in the slip and fall prevention business. If you wait for a client to call you to salt, it is too late and the site is probably really slippery and or someone has fallen or almost fallen. You are the professional...Not your client. You need to make the decisions...Period. Any other client is not the type you want and leaves you open to risk.
Great info My contact is 9 pages with 1 left to provide a drawing of the snow removal area's, if we are allowed to plow over grass, marking of landscape fixtures, changes between pavement and stone/dirt driveways, times of day driveway can't be plowed or need to plow by so they can leave work (within reason and storm event ot state of emergency)... to name a few. You mentioned a few items i will be adding for an amendment
Thanks for the comment and I am glad I could have helped. Yes, no two contracts will be alike. But there are so many different angles you have to look at it from.
I have a quick one. When you are hired by a sub for commercial, you sign the contracted provided by them. But do you also write your own contract for them to sign?
I had more time and re read your question. I will be completely honest and say that I do not hire subs, nor do I work as a sub. But there are a couple contracts involved. the first one is with the first company and the property. It goes over a bunch of details including price, when services will be performed and a bunch more. in that agreement it will outline if the contractor is permitted to subcontract the work out or not. If it is mentioned, and their insurance permits them to hire subs, they can then look for a second business to service this property. That contract might be a bit different than the one between the company and the property because now it is between a business and business and it may or may not be pertaining to a specific property. Your question is a bit confusing because it is almost like you are asking if there should be a contract from the first business to the second business and then a different contract from the second business back to the first. that is not needed, just change, or add what you want to the first contract between business and business.
You got 2100 views,You need 780 more subscribers to monetize your channel.Maybe the next 780 people to subscribe get a blank Snow Plowing Contract,That over 4000hrs you need to have to monetize the channel.Just a thought 👀🤪😎
I have no problem giving back right now. I know there are many angles I can go by with this. Honestly, not too sure exactly which route I will be going. For now, take what I am willing to give…ask questions…and like and share. The biggest spikes I have is when someone posts a video of mine on Facebook or somewhere.
why even comment? Just keep plowing away without a contract leaving yourself exposed to lose everything. Your comment is about as useful as the jibber that comes out of trudea and bidens mouth.

Can you clarify your question a bit… ex who is “them” you mention it twice.

Who gives a rip about your contract, I know I don’t.
