Do you ever decant some of your more fleeting frags into spray atomizers to carry around? I find that quite helpful. Never smelled SDV, but I once had a decant of one called Eau des Missions which I've read is very similar and thought it was nice. I also had a few ml of Tonka Imperiale back in the day which I really liked, didn't get as much of a pine or woody presence from it, and wonder if that could be due to skin chemistry, reformulation, or just the subjective nature of fragrance. I may have to find another sample. Enjoyed the video!
Having decants of the lighter fragrances is a great idea, it's just not something I've had the chance to do yet. Normally, I only wear lighter fragrances to bed, when I'm home not doing anything, or when I'm having a busy, outdoorsy day in the summer time. These are all times when I feel like I want something lower maintenance!
I just searched Guerlain coupon codes in Google and found it. I doubt that coupon code is still active, since I made that order a few months ago, but you may be able to find a different one that will get you some freebies!
