They were supposed to be together and the writers knew that. They just wrote it differently because of what's been going on politically/socially. It ruined the show though. I didn't like the ending either.

Absolutely gorgeous, and SO satisfying. It’s been years since this show broke my heart, but this feels like closure. I’ll be thinking about the aesthetics and music for awhile-you combined them to tell a truly cinematic story. Can’t wait to reread this fic and then come back to this vid to catch things I missed.
i can't believe you posted a video about them, i've been here since the knocking on heaven's door edit, i was obsessed about it! the 100 is all over the place again and its so bittersweet for me, it was my absolute favorite show i used to watch it all the time but after it ended i was never able to watch it again, i still can't believe how the show ended, it makes me so sad and angry every time i think about it, bellamy deserverd so much better just like bellarke 💔 i don't think i will ever get over it, at least i get to see these amazing edits and pretend they had a different ending.
This feels truly healing after the clownery that was the end of the show... Thank you for it. I'm glad it took years... Like, it needed to mature in your soul before you were able to produce this masterpiece!
Heaven is home. That said, I love that you went through the trouble to write a different ending that showcased them as more than just the friends the writers twisted them into.
