Ok so basically, Damon met Elena first we know that, and when he met her he compelled her to get everything she was looking for. Fast forward a few months, she meets stefan. You see where I’m going with this? It gets better. Up to the point where she turns, Elena chose stefan. No matter what, even when she had feelings for Damon she always chose stefan. Then, she turns. And suddenly she starts to choose Damon. When you turn into a vampire, all previous compulsion wears off. Elena is not under damons compulsion anymore, she stops looking for what she wants, and starts to chase Damon instead. You see what I mean? A popular reason delena fans like to use is that Damon compelled her to get everything she was looking for, and she did. But the compulsion wore off when she turned!! Choosing Damon was the wrong choice. Her and stefan had such a happy relationship, and I don’t blame her for going after Damon. But it was the wrong choice. If he actually cared about her, idts he would do all the awful things like caused her almost another accident, invaded her privacy, scared her off in her dreams, went to her head and gave her sexual dreams and you know. Writers wanted to destroy stelena so they always made it about them like first meeting and made her feel for Damon before Stefan called her in her birthday. All I could see is fanservice nothing else. Writers openly accepted that they gave fanservice by tweeting about it.
