Mark I Really...REALLY Love your reviews. You are clearly so passionate and do a fantastic deep dive into each of these games.
If i might be so bold as to make a suggestion, have you looked into getting a different microphone set up? I find the ambiant room tone a bit distracting when you are away from camera :)

There will be coming an app to TG, but it will take at least 3+ months before it is ready for use.

Elias Hartmark this will be a welcome addition. I was aware that there was an app in process it really would have been great for it to be live when the game launched. However, if the choice was to put resources on making the game or making the app then AR certainly made the right choice by concentrating on the game.

Not Bored Gaming if one chose single wave shipping, then the app will be ready before you get the game. The people that wanted the game early on the other hand, will have to wait for the app. AR are working hard on the wave 2 content now.

Your content is ace but I recommend you optimize your camera angles. I noticed this already in one of your earlier videos. Easy to fix really.

Does not seem that you know the future expansions are free to all backers of the game. So all backers will be able to use all of the miniatures, just not with the wave 1 content.

Elias Hartmark agreed - it’s not necessarily a criticism of the game and the Monsters of Avalon minis are great, but they don’t necessarily add anything to the experience other than visual flavour.

@@NotBoredGaming I Appreciate the review, but I would say that your point about minis is true of just about every mini in every table top game ever. Were you expecting them to do something else? Just a bit of advice, balance is great in some things, but seeking a balanced argument, when your counter points are weak, just gets you criticised. It is actually okay to not give time to negatives, if you don't think they are strong enough to justify air time. That is not to say don't criticise something if it really did effect your experience. By all means that is important. But I feel newer channels fall into that "reporter bias" trap all the time.

@@NotBoredGaming That is correct Bored - The monsters of Avalon was advertised as a cosmetic add on purely for replacing tokens that are in the core game. I personally didn't get them, with the expectation I may get them between waves...but seeing the game, I am not too fussed, I may go for the mounted characters instead as flair :)

@Jacob Smith - I don’t disagree totally with what you are saying. However, in a number of games (in lieu of tokens) minis are fundamental - certainly in the case of the Menhirs they are absolutely fundamental. Regarding finding things that are negative - I didn’t say that these minis are a negative, I like having and using them. However, as is my wont I will highlight things that don’t appeal to me. It’s not about providing negatives for the sake of providing negatives but for people who may buy this in the future and who may not know the full ins and outs of the Monsters of Avalon minis then they “could” be a cost that they don’t have to endure. I don’t see this as falling into a new channel trap, just me being honest with my personal thoughts on the game and contents. I think that my review clearly illustrates that I think the game is a very well produced work of art. However, I do thank you for your comments and all comments either positive or constructive are always welcome. I may not agree with them all the time but it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate people taking the time to watch my videos and then taking more time to comment. 👍

Not Bored Gaming I don’t think you understood my comment. I was not objecting towards the minis being cosmetic only (AR says so themselves). The point was that you were giving off a vibe that the added minis that are not used for the core campaign was somehow a sneaky method for getting people to buy add on campaign, which is not the case. These campaign: Last knight and Age of legends are free to all backers.

Have you played it with another player like your wife ? Or is it more of a solo game ? How is the down time ? Is there a problem with an alpha gamer ?
