I wanna give the title of Lady Bollywood to Waheeda Rehman she truly is a complete actress by all aspects and contains so much history of Bollywood cinema Who agrees
Most beautiful, graceful, immensely talented and a lovely soul, thy name is Waheeda Rehman! Huge respect for her! 🙏 Thanks for such a wonderful interview remembering Dada Burman, one of the most humble and talented music composers ever!
@Wow Musicals, Yes, indeed! SD Burman was both, most talented and very humble. And he was not involved in any controversy. Encouraging his assistants, he always had a good word for his peers. Thanks for coming.
Such a lovely interview and yet again so much of information coming out,..Waheeda jee is such a legendary actress,..SD was,it seems,as innocent as a kid,..Great that you have put in so much of efforts to share with us such valuable information,.Thanx a lotttt
Excellent interview with Waheedaji, she has such rich, fresh and lucid memories of her interactions with Dada.Enjoyed your first part Motiji and looking forward to other parts.Appreciate your genuine efforts to bring us such lovely interviews connected to Dada's memories.
+Prem Kumar Sehgal We found Waheeda ji a very simple and down to earth person. Her comment that she owes her popularity to Burman Dada is a rare tribute to the maestro.
This interview is chapter of film-history. What a sharp memory Waheeda-ji got. I cannot recall what happened last-week. Often heard that Indian women got deep-memory, is it true?
Thank you for uploading this lovely interview. It is full of wonderful nuggets of information and you get a sense of both Burman ji and Waheeda ji's personalities.
Classic Cinema Thanks for appreciation. Please see all our interviews uploaded in about 110 videos on TH-cam. We have also some voice recorded interviews taken initially, which we have yet to figure out on how to convert them in a video format. Thanks again.
Classic Cinema Thanks once again for words of praise. Honestly, I get a lot of happiness sharing on SDB. Have written few articles which I have shared on our SDB group. You will enjoy them.
Always very informative interviews that you conduct with passion and depth of knowledge. I have always learned something from your interviews. Keep up the good work. Take care.
@SupratimBhowmick ji, Thank you for your kind words. I found so much of wrong information being shared on the net, that I decided to meet and record them to share on TH-cam for our younger generation to know truth. After my interviews quite a few have left this world, but their interviews remain as proof.
@@lalwanimoti I do not know who shared what kind of information about you. But I know one thing for sure. These great people whom you interviewed agreed to let you film them only because they knew the value of your work. That itself testifies your contribution. It is only because of you I am watching history being recreated in front of my eyes. Wish we had a Moti Lalwani for the Bengali film and music industry of Kolkata. My respect to you sir.
@@SupratimBhowmick ji, No one has shared anything about me. I did not mean that. If you have observed, my focus has been Sachin Dev Burman. Before my research I knew him as one of the best composers. Now I have discovered that besides being an excellent composer, he was also a good human being as per interviews of those who knew him personally. There are 185 videos on TH-cam, including 5 in Bangla. See them all and you will know.
Yes, I have been watching all of them. Immensely enjoyed the interviews with Pt Shivakumar Sharma and Pt. Chaurasia. Both spoke with elan and to the point. I wish you also had interviewed Marutirao
I too wish. He expired in 2005, while I started my research in 2009. But in some of my videos others have spoken on him. One of them I remember is Bablu Chakravorty. There are others too.
Great work.....kudos to you....while referring to song from Kala Bazar i think Waheedaji got it little mixed up۔۔۔۔ I may be wrong.....but the song she was referring to was perhaps Sach Huve Sapne Tere & not Rimjhim Ke Tarane Lekar Aayi Barsaat.....
@SPARKLING SOUL, Thanks for comments. You have a very interesting point. I have missed it. Either that, or Vijay Anand changed the way 'Rim jhim ke taraane leke aayi barsat' was pictured. Thanks again.
In present day Bollywood where black money, drugs, prostitution, broken families, human abuse & nepotism is rampant,Waheeda Rehman stands taller than many others. At age 16 with her dancing skills she took the south by storm. In Bollywood the power elite told her she has to change her name & she refused to do that--her answer-"I like my name"(she was not even 18 at that time).Listen to her interviews & she talks like A Lady & like a true artist.Today to enter Bollywood what an actress has to go through,I need not repeat for human dignity in writing.Blame goes not only to power elites in Bollywood but to viewers as well(They prefer trash ,human abuse ,violence instant gratification & sick lyrics to fit in the crowd with Hollywood) & we are all doomed until the day of JUDGEMENT--just 2 cents from this mortal.
@navketan1965 Nothing has changed in Bollywood of those days, except it’s more blatant. Awards were manipulated, advantage was taken of those vulnerable, and everything of today happened then. There were some pious people who remained untouched by muck around them like lotus flower.
i wish she at least mentioned geeta dutt's name while talking about jane kya tune kahi. she praised music, lyrics and picturisation but not the singing(singer)..
Nice, casual and very homely talk. Never felt liked it is an official interview. Great work. Just a suggestion, if copyright issue permits, why not add a short clipping of the shot or a song when the artist refers to it?
It's my love for Burman Dada and his music that made me interview all these stars and musicians. Copyright doesn't permit though I have added song clips in a number of my upload. What they do is send you notice that you have used their copyright material and can't commercialize it which in any case I am not interested. But they don't do anything further. i have so far uploaded nearly 80 videos. Thanks for appreciating my work.
Moti ji You have done a stupendous job. I am flabbergasted. Absolutely astonished. God bless you. I love sd so so much. What a great singer he was. As well as rd....!!! Both are gems.... real gems. Moti sir.... salute to you. You are very lucky you met with these people. But plz can u tell me if there is comments by Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna about SD SIR. THANKS.
kkingdhaliwal dhaliwal, Amitabh Bachchan has praised Dada many times, once even calling him 'divine'. He has also said that when Burman Dada sang sitting on floor of his voice accompanied by a harmonium, during the making of Abhimaan, each song was a bliss. After recording with full orchestra the singer's voice could do justice only 15-20% of what Dada had sung in his voice. This space is too small for what all Amitabh has said while praising Dada.
Chirasree Dutta, Thanks for the apprectiation. I have tried getting background noise by a professional, but realised that it becomes ulmost inaudible. I am totally an amateur doing it for our future generations when I realised a lot misinformation is going around the internet. Thanks again.

@Pt. Shailendra Chaudhary Nice to know there are others who think that Dada doesn't do justice to the great man. I actually call him Rishi, Munni, because of the way he conducted his personal life. But if use any other title for him, others may not understand. Thanks for the comments.
@@lalwanimoti .personal matter is not be used in public places. In personal relationship some people abuse also. But he can't abuse to heart others who respect.
Dada is always used for someone who is older. And it is not limited to Bengali. In Marathi, Dada is frequently used for an elder brother. Mian is used more among equals or friends. There is a video of Nitin Mukesh in which he said that Mukesh addressed Rafi as Rafi mian when he called him to praise his singing of Din dhal Jaye. Dada may be stereotyping based on region or language just like sardarji and mian, but it is not disrespectful. Just my thoughts, others may not agree.
