The seven members of XG (3 vocals and 4 rappers) are all Japanese and were recruited and primarily trained in Japan. They then received more training in South Korea, where they are currently based out of and promote from.
They are marketed as a global girl group with all of their curently released music videos being in entirely English, even though they all speak fluent Japanese, English, and Korean. Their additional content is in English, Japanese, and Korean. Videos titled 'Move' highlights their dance skills, videos titled 'Vox' highlights their singing skills, and videos titled 'Tape' highlights their rap skills.
Some people label them as J-POP, because they are Japanese, and some people label them as K-POP, because they were trained using the K-POP trainee system and are based in South Korea. However, their management is trying to avoid both of those labels and are insistent with being labeled as a global girl group.
Their company is XGALX, which is a sublabel of AVEX, a Japanese entertainment conglomerate.

XG stands for Xtraordinary Girls, which they are. If you like their rapping, check out Tape #2 Galz Xypher, you'll get to know the 4 rappers real quick. If you like their dancing, check out Move #1 and Move #3, but mostly their dance pratices for Shooting Star and Left Right; they legit look like an actual dance crew.
Love seeing peoples first reaction to XG because it's the same as all of the rest of us who are now obsessed with this insanely talented & charismatic group of 7 humble young queens. They are 100% the music industries most underrated group. And the more you deep dive into their content they more you will just love them. XG is the same group that had the rap xypher that blew up & went viral on tiktok. On youtube its called "XG TAPE #2 GALZ XYPHER (COCONA, MAYA, HARVEY, JURIN)" That will blow your mind you have to 100% check that out. Also check out their dance crew video "XG MOVE #3" that is FIRE. The one thing you will find that everyone agrees on with XG once you watch more of their stuff is all 7 members are just elite. They are an all-around group unlike any other out there with no weak link at all. Picking a bias in XG is like almost impossible lol

You really caught on to the plan right away - they are aiming to be a global girl group, which is why their songs are all in English (one member is fluent in English although they all can speak it to varying degrees). The dance practices are great (the fixed camera ones tend to be better if you want to see the choreography) . They have live stages for Shooting Star and Left Right which are also good and helpful for learning the members names as the lyrics and who is singing are in the bottom left corner.
XG is the *PERFECT GIRL GROUP* in Kpop world for *ALL GENERATIONS!* Pure talent n charisma. *No need for useless AEGYO* like other GGs. (Aegyo in Korean refers to a cute display of affection often expressed through a cute voice, changes to speech, facial expressions, or gestures.)
CHARISMATIC INFECTIOUS MESMERIZING moves, vocals and visuals. All *7 trilingual Japanese* members rapping n singing in English, Japanese n Korean. Rap line is insanely superb. Vocal line is awesome n dope!! !
Rap line can sing, Vocal line can rap. Rap n Vocal lines can dance gracefully and on point! They are sensible, intelligent and funny during interviews.

Their dancing skills and swag are off the chart. You really can't see the full extent from their MVs. You have to watch the "fixed" version of the Dance Practice videos for all four of their songs (Tippy Toes, Mascara, Shooting Star and Left Right).

They aren't a Kpop group or a Jpop group, they are a global group. I thinking pretty much all of their title track songs will be in English

They are AMAZING dancers, rappers and singers. Their choreography is one if my favorites especially with shooting star

@@hyj3622 the identity of a global group comes from THEM. The company that is managing them calls them a global group, the girls say they are a global group, so they are a global group. Whatever race their managers are has literally nothing to do with the fact that xg are a global girl group
XG currently has 4 songs in English. Tippy Toes, their debut. Mascara, their first comeback and Shooting Star their second comeback with Left Right as the b-side. A couple of covers called Vox, where they showcase their vocal line up, and 2 rap videos, Tape 1 and 2. They can also be mistaken as a competitive dance group. In multiple interviews with various US radio stations and Korean outlets, they have stated they are heavily influenced by 90s/00's Hip Hop and R&B. They listed artists such as TLC, Boyz 2 Men, Aaliyah, Rhianna , Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill and Destiny's Child being the ones they love a lot.
They are the real deal - and, yes, their branding is phenomenal. Everything they drop just gets more and more impressive. And their dancing...? They dance like a dance crew. watch MOVE #1 on their channel - it's predebut and it is a statement.

They're actually they're been trained in Japan for 5 years before going to Korea. They're going back and forth for the training and promotion,. They do not belong to K-Pop genre. They're all Japanese members that they should belong to J-Pop then K-Pop, but people called them a Japanese Global Group. They're under AVEX Japanese Company and partnered with Korean Company only. AVEX is funding most of the productions.

It is a very good group and its concept is made for the same audience and market sector that follows Blackpink. if they are well managed in the future they can have very good results
