This is so cool! My great-great-grandmother wrote an article about using eggshells to plant seedlings in the early 1900s. She had built (physically built, herself,) a home in the mountains, and relied on her vegetable garden . She knew what worked!

They're actually amazing for cultivating seedlings. Not only are they cheap, but when it's time to put the tiny plants into the earth you just put it in, egg and all. The egg will decompose quite quickly and provide nutrients to the growing plant.

I planted and done this with sage and lavender about a week ago! I noticed today i have 1 baby starting to grow! 2 little baby leaves! This was my 1st thing ive ever planted by seed. I cant explain how excited i am to see them pop up! Thank you for this little post! Cant wait to take care of them and eventually make my own sage bundles from something i grew!!!

Could you use melted snow, in place of moon water its already been sitting under both the sun and the moon? Maybe you could harvest it early morning after a full moon?
I think this is a beautiful idea. I feel like that melted snow represents transformation from winter to spring. Lovely.
i've heard of people doing this in their ostara rituals! from what i've heard, they gather snow on the morning of ostara into a bowl and melt it over a candle in the middle of their alter, representing the transformative energies of spring!!

so I recreated this spell for myself and my intention was to grow love. I planted telegraph seeds in the egg. for some of you that dont know, thelegraph plants dance to the sounds of music. I will be playing love songs for this baby everyday

I do something similar using an egg shell in my garden in the spring but I put runes or sigils or just write what I want on it and think about them when I'm working in my garden. Love the video

I'm really looking forward to trying this out. I'm semi new. Wicca and witchcraft have sort of been in the back of my mind for years but never able to practice so I never really did much research, which I really regret. I'm currently learning the Sabbats in detail as they come, starting with Ostara. I have been putting off spellwork and such since I don't feel I know or have enough to work with but I feel like this is the perfect time to start since new beginnings are a big part of Ostara. I used strawberry seeds in my eggshells. I also didn't have sage so I burned some rosemary. I thought my seedlings dried but I checked and just seen a little baby sprout!🌱 I'm very happy☺ I've never grown strawberries before!🍓

try using egg shell of wild birds any will do much smaller than chicken eggs ----but --- from small acorns etc etc getting a full moon will help relax !!!

Hello! I love your videos and your energy is amazing. Your videos are beautiful and inspiring! However I want to ask you a question about this spell- I am a vegan and don’t feel comfortable using a real egg, would a small pot work just as well?
And also, to me the most loving and earth reciprocating action would be to consume the egg before you use the shell or make good use of the egg. I don’t think you specified in the video what you should do with the egg inside and that to me could affect the outcome of the spell karmically. If you “waste” the inside of the egg then it could manifest that energy and not grow. Do you get what I’m saying? I’m not trying to question you or anything I’m just generally curious and want your opinion on that as well.

I think as long as you know you have the energy for it (cuz some people lose a lot of energy doing spells) & can keep each intention with the same egg or pot, then it should work just as well. :)

Use some flower seeds that birds, bees, and or butterflies can feed off of. Dollar tree or dollar general have great options. Happy Ostara!
Personally I'm going to find a plant that corresponds with my intention, but also isn't very large or needs a large space to flourish. All I can say is to research what you want and as a baby witch the research should be beneficial anyways.
A very late addition, but I used garden cress. It sprouted overnight and I felt it would add urgency to the spell.

Beautiful video with lovely visuals and great information. I do have a question for anyone (especially wiccans). I am a baby witch and so if this is common knowledge I apologize for my ignorance. I’m not currently Wiccan but I feel a strong connection to the elements and seasons. Is it disrespectful to celebrate Wiccan traditions without following the faith?
I'm not a wiccan, I'm just a humble northern witch. But as I have done research, the sabbaths eg. equinoxes come from the old wheel of the year and the farming calender as some of the traditions derived from there as well. I wouldn't see it as disrespectful as you feel connected to the wheel of the year, seasons and possibly to the older ways as well. And it is very reasonable and respectful to think these questions. I would recommend first some research how the seasons are celebrated but the most important thing is that if you want to celebrate them, you should, make the celebration your own.

You could just use a small pot, maybe make a paper mache egg and cut the top off since I've seen it listed as a vegan alternative for painting eggs for Ostara anyways. Though I'm not too sure how well the paper mache egg would work since the blessing used exposes it to an open flame, you could work around this. Personally, I would just use a pot and paint some paper mache eggs to go along. Hope that was helpful,, happy Ostara

fishman Do you have a kitty? Cat grass or cat nip! Or herbs to use for cooking ... (& witchcraft!) The eggshell is biodegradable so if you’re planning on planting it elsewhere you can just plop the entire thing into the ground. All natural. 💁🏼♀️
Marigolds, radish, lettuce are some of my suggestions.
eggshells make great fertilizer and make it easy to transplant what you grow when it needs more space! just say you read about it and want to see if it works or something :) happy Ostara! 💚
You can say the eggshells are for biodegradable planters. It's healthy for the planet. Seeds? I would recommend something hummingbirds, bees, birds, or butterflies will be able to feed off of.

I believe it’s magnolia! I have a magnolia tree in my front garden and it looks just like that when it flowers😻 they sometimes flower more than once a year💗 x

Once your desire, has come true, what do you do, with the egg/plant?
I have a question... Is your wish bonded to the plant? And what happens to your wish if you grow the plant but are no longer able to take care of it any longer for some reason and have to leave it?
Can I use a white egg or does the color not matter? Blessings
Green or white eggs are usually used for wealth or prosperity spells, so if your wish is something like that I would recommend using these but honestly, you can use and colored eggshell
Also if you’re painting it... it can be any colour you like! 🎨

I agree. For me I will cleanse my ingredients before I fill them with my thoughts. Then the spell.
sure, you absolutely can do it before! I would probably separate the cleansing from the blessing and complete the blessing aspect after the spell is pieced together if you prefer to do the cleansing before hand but feel free to mix it up and do it in whatever way feels right to you!
