I bought halogen Philips White Vision Ultra, they are pretty good and looks like Xenon. This Led lights looks smudged on that wall, because that leds are only on 2 sides, not around. (In my opinion)
In the UK these are not street legal because of a 1986 regulation which defines a minimum current. Our MOT only tests for beam pattern. I’ve installed a set of Twenty20 bulbs that are ‘up to 150%’ brighter and I’ve not dazzled anyone, so not too bright. The beam pattern is well defined and the best bit is that they are almost the same size as the halogen H4. No cooling fans and they plug straight in. I did get error temporary error messages which are easily cancelled using OBD11, not sure if the errors are still there but they are not visible on switch on.
Cant wait for my halgens to fail and buy LEDs. How much do you think they're going to last? I've driven for almost 15.000 km and about 30% night time..
Really great video, I was wondering if you can maybe test the lights without the canbus adapter to see how they are working. Also, since the canbus adapter are quite expensive. Don't want to spend the money on them when they are not needed.
The Philips don't look as blinding as the chinese ones, am I right? I consider too an LED option but mostly because I really can't access the low beam bulbs for changing without taking the headlights out. And the HB4 bulbs my car has are really dim with only 1000 lumen.
@@tedonash2681 I don't know I'm not so sure anymore, even in the Osram option, I think I'll go for the original halogens, they're rated at 1200 hours + LED parking lights + use the high beams in really dark situations. I drove a few days ago in complete darkness, and an Audi with it's "modern" LED or HID headlights completely blinded me (perhaps the lens were scratched too as that dissipates light high even with original HID bulbs) . I think it's not just the quality of the bulb but also the color temperature that matters too.
Thank you Tedo! So, did you experience any CAN-Bus errors? It is not clear to me if these were the CAN-Bus adapters you showed in the beginning of the video.

Philips announced a H4 variant of the „Ultinon Pro6000“ a few days ago, which is the very first street legal H4 LED lamp, at least in Germany. Don't know about other countries or if your legislative does even care. 🤷
I think this is not legal in many EU countries. If you have not from car made, you can not add it later. But... if you get it, you are responsible for that.
@@GSino no I don't think so. With Xenon was same problem, when it start ,everybody want xenon and they DIY at home without having lampwashers. And that is problem. @@GSino I have e-up 2nd gen, and I bought halogens H4 Philips White Vision Ultra. They are pretty good. My wife loves them. They are almost white (halogens are not whiter) but right now is not differences between Led C in bumper and headlights.
There won't be any CANBUS errors if you remove the bulb and car doesn't show you the bulb is faulty, then it won't show you any warnings on panel. Can't say about front lights, but I removed all back lamp unit, no errors. Just turn signal blink faster, nothing else.
The fast blinking turn indicator is the notification that there are some errors with the bulb. If you inspect the central electronics unit with OBDeleven I am sure you will find some errors.
@@tedonash2681 I haven't ordered OBDeleven yet, waiting for black friday :) The fast blinking is due to different load resistance on blinking relay timer, so it therefore works faster. It's the same technology as in old cars with no electronics at all :)

I see your concern. It is not seen in the video but the heat sing push the rubber down and only the edge of the rubber touch the heat sing. I don’t think it will melt down but only time will tell.

They can last for years man. I would go for LED right away and keep the halogen for reserve.

I think you are right but the drawback on the Chinese one is that they are not so durable as Philips
