Great job walking me through the lesson. I try to hunt down the greatest licks on guitar and this week I chose run through the jungle. You got me there I appreciate it!
Jonh thanks a lot brother. You don't know how I wanted to learn this song . You are really helping me at my guitar progress, in the beginning of my channel and in my English Cheers from Brazil 👍🏻🇧🇷
You are just increable teacher John I really love this song, you made it so easy to learned this song but it's not. What it takes is hard work and persistence to really get it right, thank you so much for guiding me to the right spot🤘🎸
This is a great lesson, on a song I never really thought about learning. Especially on a song like this, you should give us some insight into how you get your tone. Because of the lighting or camera angle, I couldn't even tell where your pickup selector was set.
Someone further down might have mentioned it but John Fogarty tunes all strings down a whole step and plays out of an Em shape. Your lesson is great and ideal for people who can’t be bothered to do that but some of the licks don’t work as well playing out of a Dm shape.
I forgot what a great song this is and both bluesy as well as a little funky. I'll have to learn this one. Thanks for the post John, I enjoy your posts. I've played a long time but these posts remind me of all the songs I've somewhat forgotten but still love. Great post. Are your pick ups on the tele standard pickups or what pick ups do you use. The tone is great.
wow the drop D..the missing piece of the pie!!! i been playing it without that for years..can really lay into 6th string to keep a driving rythym while playing a finger picked acoustic version..thanks dude
In my recent video tutorial, I use Em as the foundation of the song, and it's super easy. Other video channels use the Am and Dm approach. Suzie Q and Grapevine a easier and fuller sounding in Em also.
This one of the toughest one you done. It’s hard to really see what your fingers are really doing. I understand it. But this one been always a tough one.
Good stuff..u should hook up with true fire for a Ccr bundle..say, 5 tunes, with tab and soundslice.say $30..sure it would sell like hotcakes and increase your web profile..they'd be lucky to have you!

I have watched many guitar lessons on TH-cam, but none better than this. Fabulous job breaking this down in a way that is simple and down to Earth.
What A Jam… And Ya Do It Better Than Anyone….
Man the sound of that tele 😍. Great job my buddy wants me to play this at his birthday but I’ve never even attempted it. This is very helpful!
Another excellent guitar video by Jon! 🎸🎸🎸
I love this tune. Jon picks the coolest songs to teach. The harmonica really brings the guitar part out. Thanks for the lesson. (Rusty)
Beautiful explanation of one of my favorite CCR songs! Greetings from Germany.

Lol I just commented the same…then I saw yours. I checked Fogerty live too just to make sure.
I play it as a slide tune in open Dm which is just every string down a whole step except the A. No matter how you do it it’s good fun to play.
Thanks, best explanation of the tune that I have seen yet! Keep up the good work! And sounds good on a Tele!
Love it already
Very very good lesson!
Best tutorial 👌 thank you for sharing 😀...
another fabulous lesson thanks again
I love it!! Guess i need a Tremolo pedal:)

Frankly, if I could find this variety of tunes anywhere else, I would never come back to TH-cam. Not ever. Think about that.

Nice
Jonh one question I ever had . I watch videos of people with the same accent as yours . Where are you from my brother?
I'm from the U.S. and if I had to guess I would say somewhere along the west coast. I detect a very slight "California surfer" accent
Definitely a twinge of a Midwest US accent
that’s one damn nice Tele

Damm thats good ass
Just wish other bands played the swampy blues

👌
You know Fogerty tunes to D standard and if you watch him live it does look much more like he is using a ‘Em shape rather than a Dm shape.

Is there a tab for this?
❤🎉😊
1:45
No tabs! Really..
This one is better than Marty’s 😂
But why you dress like this?
a 3rd pickup in a tele is blasphamy . Buy a strat if you want that
