    Just did one on my C10, thanks for the vid it really helped a lot. It really is a great upgrade for so cheap, I even bought a pre made mounting plate with the barrage holes pre drilled from ebay for a few bucks and it worked perfectly as well. Also I didn't re solder the wires I unpinned the connector and switched the wires in the connector.

      Awesome! Glad it helped out. I actually have one of those mounts that I use for a template now lol. Just slap the stock plate under it and drill. Works great! I usually flip the trans on most of them now and you don’t have to swap the wires at all!

    I’m considering about doing this, or maybe put a cheapo brushless sensored motor I found on Ali express, great mod I’ll keep in mind, you should try to transmission flip the car, but more weight in the front and see how much better it’ll preform. • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nathan’s Rc Garage the only problem I’ve heard from that brushless setup is that it’s almost impossible to program and that it didn’t crawl well the way it comes. I haven’t tried it though. I just heard a few people talk about it. I put the castle sidewinder 2 micro and the Holmes revolver in my other rig and it’s AWESOME! Great way to go brushless and with the castle link you can adjust everything about it. I will eventually probably install the castle setup in my yota because it can run brushed motors as well. It’s the overall best option in my opinion. The esc is lik $60 which isn’t bad but then you gotta swap to a different rx/tx etc since it isn’t built in. The control that setup has is unreal tho! It’s soooo smooth!

    i just installed a furitek chameleon motor and i got to that point where i put the spur gear on and it was rubbing on the inside motor screw and yes i put it on the correct way. literally didnt change anything to do with the spur or the screws. the motor screws are different than all the rest so i know the correct screw is where its suppose to be. i had to file down the head of the motor mount screw so the spur didnt rub on the screw and bind up. what the hell did i do wrong? also, only about 2/3rds of the spur make contact with the pinion, like the pinion is sitting to far out. i tried pushing the pinion further down on the motor shaft but i felt like i was gonna break my brand new motor.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Besides the spur getting flipped idk of anything that would cause it to sit any differently. Unfortunately sometimes these companies don’t get those pinions on exactly where they need to be. They are a pain to push on also. I normally use a vice with a small socket over the motor shaft sitting on the pinion & something similar on the backside against the motor between the wires if I absolutely have to push it on any farther but it can be a pain.
