@@inezsweeney7968 Perhaps the wave function has not collapsed yet this is just another anything that can happen will happen, anyway beautiful Arthur and Bach crew Scarlett Johansson
what I love about Bach and Arthur is that when one of them is explaining a concept or theory they don’t interrupt or talk over each other. it’s really lovely to see two people respect each others knowledge and interpretations so much that they let each other talk freely without interruption.
Guys, I really love your podcasts, I listen to quite a few but yours is by far my favourite, it's like the perfect combination of brain rot comedy and actually interesting educational topics. And I admire how you two can yap about anything.
The maze thing you were talking about is when the area of the brain called the corpus callosum is severed, the original studies you spoke about with the picture envoking emotion were done by someone called Sperry in 1968 and it was a biopsychological study that helped us realise that different sides of the brain actually compute different things but send synapses to each side to communicate. It’swhere the whole left brain, right brain (hemispheric lateralisation) idea comes from I believe! Super cool, I got so excited hearing you talk about it,I’m such a nerd for psychology studies :)
Can we have a section on Egyptology, how you think the pyramids were built, all the lost and found tombs just general ancient Egypt talk, would be very interesting to hear your thoughts
I always think about how our eyes see things upside down and our brain flips it so it’s right like imagine if your brain just stopped doing that one day
But how do you know we see things right? If our brain didn’t flip what our eyes see then everything upside down would be normal? So what’s the point of our brains flipping everything around?
@Dndieiwnsnsnjdid the light that reflects on things to allow us to even see, is reflected when it enters our eye by the lens in our eye as it focuses the light, our retina translates what we're seeing to our brain via optical nerve and our brain flips it the right way up. Ik it's been a week I couldnt leave w/o telling you
arthur talking for like 6 minutes straight on science theories is very much a reflection of when my friends are super into smth that i havent got the foggiest about, but i just sit there, watching their beautiful confusing brains working and being adorably passionate about what theyre saying, and im just being supportive like 'uh huh, omigosh, really?? wow!! thats so cool' - and like i dont really get what theyre saying but i can tell its important so thats all that matters, is for me to hear them out XD
Heyy guys not sure if my comment will be seen or not but still- just wanna say I love the podcast and you guys are my favourite thing to listen to. There’s a lot of educational stuff and I learn a lot compared to other podcasts which are often less interesting. And it’s a great podcast to have on whilst I’m doing something like cooking etc so thanks for the episodes and effort you put into it
viewer from oregon usa, idk why i said that but whatever. i love the podcast and all the sciencey type of episodes you guys have been doing lately are my absolute favorite please keep doing more like them !!
I love watching discussions about otherworldly, supernatural or related phenomena, and for a while TH-cam started dragging me down a fear-filled area of the algorithm related to those topics, but I finally feel refreshed having found your podcast! I am not filled with fear or anxiety at the end of it like some of the other videos I've been watching lately, thank you.
This is maybe my favourite episode of this podcast yet! Loved the talk towards the end to do with the infinite universe and simulation theory. This is my favourite pod these deep conversations tickle my brain ❤
I’m so glad you guys made a podcast because you both individually helped me so much when I was in hospital having surgery and recovering from my ohvira syndrome, love you both so much 🫶🏻
You guys should do an episode on memory; I have a degree in psychology and memory was by far the most interesting aspect of the whole course. It’s insane how smart and intricate the human brain is yet how easy it is to create false memories
I’ve always enjoyed the theory, as far fetched as it may be, that what happens after death, is whatever you believe will happen. Like people who believe in religions will experience their idea of the after life after death, people who believe it’s nothing and you just float away into darkness and cease to exist, that’s what happens for them.
Would be cool to hear you guys discuss the simulation theory, arthur referred to the split particle experiment which could also be used in the same theory, and with computer code being found in the fabric of the universe etc, would make a cool interesting conversation/episode :d
You guys should check out the short story "The Egg" by Andy Weir. It goes into the meaning of life and, in a way, the answer to consciousness. I would love for you guys to bring it up as a topic on the pod; it's a story that has really played on my mind for the last couple of years.
For the walkers crisps mandela effect, cheese and onion and salt and vinegar crisps in most european countries are swapped (in terms of colours) so where I live salt and vinegar is always blue and cheese and onion always green and I'm fairly sure lays used to be walkers before it got bought or something, because if you look at the lays packaging it is very similar to walkers, so maybe Bach saw this whilst on holiday and his brainjust stuck on it...
These podcast fill me such existential dread and then you go and talk about rose toys while I’m still mid panic attack thinking about the universe 😭 Another mind fuck of an episode lads keep it up ‼️💫
On the topic of consciousness does anyone else sometimes forget and can’t rap their head around the fact people they see every day are fully conscious and have their only lives outside of when you see them, the idea that they continue to exist
Literally reading a book about the universe being infinite/finite, closed and open universes, CMBR etc so this bit was especially interesting to me right now 54:57
Quantum Immortality has blown my mind. How many times have I switched timelines?! What if every single close call and NDE actually did happen? Everyone who’s ever died is still somewhere else? Are there timelines with every single person I’ve ever known dead or alive in it? I don’t know how I can go on knowing this information
Please make a video playing platform 8 it’s a strategy game that makes you really think and observe your surroundings but with a little bit of horror!!!
salt and vinegar crisps used to be blue and cheese and onion was green! I remember this so vividly growing up and have never had someone address this !
LOVE your podcast but have realised recently the volume is low compared to other videos on youtube and songs/podcasts on spotify - I often have my phone at full blast to hear you and then get deafened when I go elsewhere. Would you consider raising the volume a bit? Pleaaaaaaaase
hey Bach and Arthur I love your guys’ content and would personally love to see a episode about you guys discussing personality and personality types (mbti types is what I’m thinking) and maybe even doing a quiz/test to see what your personality types are. keep up the content I love listening to your opinions and thoughts!!!
NO Pringles used to market a flavour in the UK called Sour Cream and Chive and i think then sour cream and onion replaced it or they just stopped making it
bach looking like someone uncle in the 80’s. i love it

The science intro and outro after this ep really hits

Can we all agree that we love Bach’s Dress style and that he can pull anything off. But omg they both fire 🔥🔥
ignoring the Mandela effects and just trying to work out which type of ape Curious George is is so arthur coded

I don’t understand how we ALL remember Pringles being chive though because that was my favourite flavour!!
im losing it
