I hope the rumors are true and we can expect a new VF within the next two years.

I'd much rather see a new Bloody Roar, Rival Schools, Bushido Blade or Darkstalkers, but a new Virtua Fighter is of course also welcome.

Cool to see you uploading again, even if I know very little of Virtual Fighter (the one game I played was the 2D Mega Drive version… not a great entry point). I do recall seeing trailers/promotional stuff of this 5th entry and enjoying Eileen’s design, so a nice choice of character here.
0:21 - Getting two effective strikes into the wall at an impressively awkward angle. The slap to the chin as Lion fell down has a natural flow to it and was a nice spot of extra damage.
1:18 - I guess Sarah was a more natural guest inclusion in Dead or Alive 5 than I would have assumed. That camera certainly was a set on a destination and Sarah’s lean-in only helped it.
2:38 - What advantage was El Blaze supposed to have? Because you destroyed him with that rush assault. Great job piling on the pressure and that overhead spin kick dealt great damage. I also expected El Blaze to be taller; his design is more petite in every aspect.
4:16 - That is such a cool win pose and well-earned given the Excellent in the first round against Jacky.
5:02 - “C’mon” and so you did. Super job slipping by his guard and nailing each attack in this match.
5:59 - That seemed like a Marie Rose style move there… but unfortunately a lot less effective at dodging Pai’s attack.
7:37 - Nice back step attack with a cool interruption of the opposing Akira.
9:20 - I see what your summary meant by ‘characters facial expressions.’ Let’s not talk about that indeed.

Thank you very much, I'll do my best with a few videos, even if they're not comparison videos.
I don't think VF2 for the Mega Drive is quite so bad as an introduction to the series, especially as the first game was also available in a slimmed-down but impressive version for the 32X.
I knew the first game, as well as other games, from the arcades and didn't play the sequels until I got back into it with VF4 on the PS2. And when VF5 Final Showdown was released, I liked Eileen from the start and Akira has since been forgotten (oh, wait, he's probably another one of those poster characters, isn't he?).
Wait, what? Oh, you're right! I didn't realize how small El Blaze is - looks a bit smaller than Eileen too. A really small guy with cool looking pants (that must be his advantage!).
Ha! I think they fixed the facial expressions in the remaster, or at least made them look less creepy, which I appreciate.
Again, thank you so much for the incredible comments!
      I actually laughed tears.

@@Alicelicious I don't know; I don't think the renown 3D fighter being played in a rough combo-list lacking game was a good way to go. It certainly put me off trying the series. I suppose the closest to play a true Virtual Fighter experience was Sonic The Fighters and their guest appearance in Dead or Alive 5.
From his mask and attitude, you expect him to be a bulky, towering kind of character but nope. El Blaze comes across oddly small.

I mean, yes, the style is very different on the Mega Drive/Genesis and I'd prefer Mortal Kombat II and TMNT Tournament Fighters, but if you were looking for a new fighting game, it wasn't too bad. Especially as the moves of the individual characters have been implemented quite well in my opinion. But maybe we'll be really lucky and there will be a new game for all consoles (including Nintendo's system) and PC in the future.
El Blaze may come across oddly small, but I'm afraid he becomes a danger when you increase the difficulty level. By the way, I played on the easiest difficulty. *cough*
