I think thats a bit of a stretch. Its true that Big Bang are legends and no one is like them. But Kpop has such diverse styles and genre combinations and each group is unique, talented, and amazing whether they are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or future generations of idol groups. This is coming from me as a Korean VIP. We dont need to bring down others or say mean stuff to support our favorites.

Bigbang has a really deep history in kpop, they’re the idols of all kpop idols. Like the kpop light stick was first introduced by them. You’re may not be aware but a member is missing. A few years back, the group was entangled in a lot of major controversies and had to leave the music industry. But now they’re back and dominating music charts and everyone is really emotional to see their childhood idols come back (myself included)!!!
A lot of fans are wondering if this is their last long comeback or not but hopefully they will make more music. They are legends in Korea.

I love your reaction, having almost no knowledge of bigbang history beforehand and just reacting to their voices and the song, heals my sadness while listening to this song. For me as someone who grew up with their songs since Haru Haru, this “comeback” is the most exciting yet saddening experience for me, can’t lie this could be their last comeback as Bigbang (I really hope not). If you’re just heard about them, look them up, this is the only kpop group that I could assure you that you won’t be disappointed listening to them, they’re true artists and they’re the one who built the kpop culture that we’re listening and experiencing now. To really really appreciate BB, you have to understand the entire kpop industry and it's history. They're the breath of fresh air and innovation the industry needed, otherwise, the boygroups you'll see today will just be a bunch of good looking guys dancing the same dressed the same and singing songs that are given to them, like manufactured robots.

Also, where in my comment did I bring down others and say mean things? "good looking guys dancing the same dressed the same and singing songs that are given to them, like manufactured robots" is exactly the state of most young groups before Bigbang became popular. It's not a bad thing to dance synchronously and dress the same and sing songs made by others, a lot of people like that, it's just that it can get quite tiring to see.
@@iagreewithyou3478 I am familiar with the history of kpop. I am literally Korean. And yeah, your comment is a stretch. Especially when other groups are also talented and have diverse styles. I literally grew up listening to Korean music and I saw how Kpop as a part of Korean musoc has evolved. Just because groups debut left and right doesnt mean they have no character. Thats an overgeneralization. There is a reason why groups have their own big fandoms in Big Bang’s generation. All of them have a unique character and sound that they brought to the table. I suggest that you reevaluate your thoughts and comments before you generalize something. I am a VIP too but I wouldnt go posting around comments like these. You can praise your fav groups without generalizing others.

Alright, can you give some examples of a 2nd gen kpop group who produced their own hit songs, didn't have a "uniform" and are dressed very differently from each other during performance, didn't focus on knife-like synchronized dancing, didn't focus on visuals, and sported colorful hair every comeback, etc. before Bigbang did them?
@@SeoWoojin55 fact is Big Bang was instrumental in making K pop what it is today. Without Big Bang, K pop would’ve evolved completely different. All groups have a hand in influencing other artists, but Big Bang was a HUGE game changer.
The MV production looks very simple, but for VIP, every moment holds a special message. Every single thing was specifically chosen. It's a masterpiece.
Big Bang was created when the kpop system was still being molded into what it was today. Unlike a lot of other companies a lot of the learning was done by the guys themselves. They had to pick songs and do monthly evaluations of not only Korean artists but also western artists in pop, rock, ballads and rap. They learned hip hop dancing by street choreographers flown in from the states. Twitch (dj for Ellen deGeneres) was their dance teacher. Top said they had to master a certain artists movements but during evaluation they got scolded if you were a bad copy. They wanted you to imitate not copy. They had room to grow back then, the system now kills all creative life.
When Big Bang debuted it was all hip hop western influence but as they grew more their mannerisms on stage changed. Honestly this is the most animated I’ve seen top in years, he pretty much created the “stand still and rap elegantly” charisma. Everyone tries to do it but no one can do it like him. Most of the second generation groups are gone because companies killed the teams, but they were some of the most colorful groups I’ve ever seen. I can’t say the same for 4th gen and there’s only limited gems in 3rd generation as well.
The song and music video takes inspiration from rock and roll like the Beatles, a band that they look up to.
Bigbang's whole discography is worth checking out as a whole! I't so diverse.... But if you want to get a faster intro check out the MADE album, it's one of the best albums ever made.
GD (leader, composer, master lyricist, rapper, most diverse vocals & fashion icon), Taeyang (smooth main vocalist) and Daesung (lead vocals with the most power) renewed their contract with YG last year. T.O.P (beautiful rapper w/deep voice) did not renew after 16 yrs. with the company. He only left the agency but is still part of Bigbang. Seungri left the company in 2019 due to a scandal.
This song is an ode to their younger years with Seungri and the fans. Seungri got sentenced to jail for 18 mos. One fan pointed out that Taeyang's last 2 lines has the 4 seasons and repeated spring and summer meaning 1 1/2 years or 18 mos. Also the logo in the end with the 5 lines is from their MADE album representing the 5 members. Those clues scream that they will be always be OT5.

They were on hiatus for 4 years. This is also their first CB after finishing their military service. The three members are still in YGE but TOP which is the one who have bunny head dress already left the company but he is still in Bigbang.

The excitement of Bigbang's comeback is also filled with lots of sadness for many fans, they did this comeback as a promise n a closure to fans after 4 yrs disappearance. hence it is also a comeback with just 1 song n its a ballet song that has strong meanings in lyrics, even the scenes there's many hidden meanings including the 4 chairs with 1 director chair fm GDragon's solo World Tour prior the long hiatus, n the final logo of 5 horizontal lines, the VIPs will understand. This song signifies Goodbye that all VIPs worldwide r heartbroken, they r highly loved, gaining new fans even during their long hiatus. Their highly anticipated Comeback has received a million pre-orders alone fm China within few hrs. When YG Entertainment announced their comeback, YG share price shot up again. On their song released day it hit top iTunes charts in 33 regions, n top Korea, Japan, China music platforms. Bigbang also top the hottest search keyword in Twitter worldwide n China Weibo, etc. They r the Kings n Legends, they r the Idol of many Kpop idols n celebrities, n r highly in demand but sadly they hv no wish to continue. I really miss them so much especially Bigbang's leader GDragon, my super bias, who is producer, composer, songwriter for Bigbang. But I feel to the great leader King GD,, n the team too, Bigbang's spirit is 5, so I don't think we r ever gonna see their real comeback like the past with concerts n variety shows again, i think GD may await for panda Seungri to regroup Bigbang for a reunion comeback in future hopefully a "real" comeback with concerts n all, as TOP already hinted Bigbang will go back to hiatus for a long time. I really look forward to my own speculation n wish, as I really missed Bigbang so much. Their true blue swag n confidence, their fun brotherhood synergy, I missed their powerful fun live performances n those fun variety shows they were in. For now I can only look forward to their solos especially my super bias GD.

Omg I said the same about this being a good OST but for a more mature cinematic Kdrama. They don’t do OSTs except for one where TOP acted in.
U should just check out everything they did because they don't have any bad song. All are good n very different. They are just that versatile.
Hopefully this is not their last comeback as big bang “the king of kpop” legends. But since TOP wants to leave YG entertainment and 1 of the other member is serving time in prison, it will be really hard for several future comebacks; could possibly be their last.
