Sometimes the truly unexpected happens! RedCat Racing releases the all new RedCat SixtyFour, a super realistic RC lowrider that can do anything the full-sized cars also can. Modelled after a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, the SixtyFour takes all the right styling cues from the lowrider scene with 14-inch Daytona style wire wheels, white walls and a very cleverly thought-out servo system to replica the hydraulic suspension action of the life-sized vehicles.
Consulting Jevries, Redcat has developed a chassis that offers an insane amount of entertainment. I found myself immediately diving straight into the action, plugging in a battery to see what moves I was able to pull off using the 6 channel radio that comes in the box. With the servos mimicking the pumps and the switches on the radio used to control everything you can make the SixtyFour bounce, hop, dance, three wheel and jump, the result of your efforts depending on timing, sense of rhythm and style. This is a new chapter for RC, and for the RC customization scene, promising a lot of fun for the years ahead.

I'm super excited when you got this and was really hoping you would try a go at a custom paint job worthy of this car I feel there's no higher level of paint jobs then that of the original lowrider paint jobs such craftsman artfully detail these things and spend years on doing these up can't wait to see how it comes out

Which pens work well on proline bodies please chris? I cannot find any that can draw on the outside film well?

Of all the bodies that have come out recently, this is the one I have hoped you would get your hands on to paint. And I agree it is nice to see someone take a chance with a vehicle segment that is huge in full-size but been poorly represented in the scale world.
Hemistorm how can you add more sparkle to the Tamiya PS metallic sprays? Can you do a video on this please..

Definitely, well spotted! The whole trick is to keep it balanced. You also see it’s more prone to bumper stands without the body, so it doesn’t take a ton of weight to seriously alter how it performs. Thanks for stopping by!

Not feeling it at all as a "style in Rc"..BUT....as a display car...WITH your awesome paint scheme on it...it will be a kick ass piece of kit.The body is amazing though,,and NIMH batteries rules...Lipos are scary .hehehehe. Tusen takk for nice video ;) Stefan

I would love to paint one of these up. I could just go wild with flake and candy. this car could make or break a good artist. lol, you going to get a clear body, or you going to tape and flake this body? I would do a mix max two tunes teal base color and maybe a candy purple with pinstripes that swirl into cursive words, neon hues of the two colors for shadows, and highlight. I would do a hood pice but I would draw it out and mod podge it in then paint. maybe even sand the paperback a little so the color bleeds through. the hood pice would be hard to pick I would want some nasty good art like maybe a spawn character or something more favorable to the color. I think about painting and art too much.
How's my driving. Hey man I think were parked. All I could think about is Cheech n Chong And a pimped out show stopper paint job. Flakked out 50 colors.

Absolutely not the coolest rc. I'm sure some love it and thats great. But I have zero desire to even see one in person let alone drop 600 bucks to own one. But I'm happy it is out there for guys who can't build there own version that actually drives well. But I'm sure someone will turn one into something interesting.
