I remember these from back in the day I use to buy at radio shack for like 40 bucks I think I had a 67 and a 64 impala but it was a cheap RC but it still had hydros at least. And I was able to mob it 3 wheel motion! Lol

It’s the reefs servo that kills it , that’s like $80 in itself and there was also the $50-100? Radio system, then you got like 3 amazon servos which is another like $50 then you got a motor$20 nice hard body $50-100 that’s already over $300 realistically you’re paying $300 for electronics, and $300 for the rolling chassis no body
really? wow lol ordered both colors and cant wait to go to the next lowrider show with the buds. its going to be a hit. the low life is not for everybody. lowrider lifestyle is why this commands that price.

Apparently you haven't priced any other rcs .. the good ones are all around 600 to over a 1000 . I think it's fair considering it possibly took alot to get this to production . Cheers

Finally, someone made a decent rc lowrider. I didn't expect redcat to be the one to do it.
Redcat has really stepped up their quality. I recently bought a used gen 8 v2 crawler and it went everywhere my trx4 bronco was able to go
In this case I actually really like the really loud servos that actually sounds like a real hydraulic pump on an actual router that is actually kind of what it would really sound like

The Cheach & Chong Car your referring to is the Love-machine but she's not a base model 64 She's actually a rare 63-1/2 Bubble Top

600 bought me a 14th scale 23 ch metal excavator yesterday lol, anyone who is serious about RC's would know its very easy to spend 600 on a build. hell, my traxas has a $200 esc/motor combo, $100 buck high torque steering servo $80 buck ddx3, 2 lipos around $40 each, $159 for a quad lipo smart charger, $85 for the set of 4 rims and 4 tires, 47 for shocks, 28.99 for upgraded aluminum motor mount, 24.99 for aluminum drive shaft... it just goes on and on, but that's the fun man!

Base model hobby grade RC, $200-$300. Reefs servo, $100. 6 Channel radio, $100. Licensed body, $100. Scale bits, counter weights, extra servo, battery, charger, packaging... There’s your $600.

I grew up in the low rider scene so I definitely want this 64 lowrider RC cars 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
I think for the detailed officially licensed body and a one of a kind custom programed 6 channel radio with custom switches and layout, the price is justified. I saw somewhere that they have 3D print files to fill the gap if you want to chop the top off and make it a convertible. The Hexfly servos are a little noisy, but a hydraulic pump isn't exactly quiet and they looked like they worked smoothly.
For me I want this to do well and gain a lot of popularity because it does open up a lot of possibilities for other scale vehicles. Get the CEN F450 dually, tweak the suspension and use the lowrider's radio and you could have a slammed tow rig with simulated hydraulic suspension. If the Redcat lowrider and the CEN dually do well, we might see more scale vehicles coming from other companies and that is good for everyone.

What a fancy way to package a remote control car😂😂, but to still have it break, a beautiful rig though really scale for lexan. Nothing like getting and opening a new car. Great vid man!!

I own several Redcats. Their customer service is great. Just contact them and they will send out a new bumper no charge. Point them to this video or take a picture as proof.
I own 5 redcats and ther customer service sucks ass!! I’ve been waiting for a replacement ESC for the landslide since b4 the summer began n ther stil telling me ther waiting for a ship n it takes time.. really?? I bought my esc from china n got it in 2weeks!! I’ll nvr buy another redcat anything ever!! 🖕🏻redcat

This is something new. New is rare. It does something no RTR has ever done before and it works. It has playtime written all over it, and that flat chassis is just begging to have you put all kinds of stuff in it. It may be a bit expensive, but it's a friggin first! I love it :)
That is actually pretty friggin sweet!! I will be honest it’s not something I am into but it is sweet and I wouldn’t mind owning one to play with!! Great video on it!!

I like it, it's awesome. I would like to see it with working lights, and maybe tinted windows. Maybe even a neon under glow kit. Seeing it hop with a light package would be awesome.
I build lowrider RC cars a lot but I only use a CC-01 chassis. But now I have to get one of these!!!

if u see close when he took it from the box he pull the rc from the back and maybe the bumper craked because of the foam the plastic corners catching the foam wall of the box
@@replicka4528 😂come on..., he gently pull it out of the foam and already broken, should be tougher than that. Rc cars sometime hits wall and table leg

I still have all my Lowrider mags and Truckin mags. Still have the center folds but they are, unfortunately, not hanging on the wall. Grew up in the suburbs of a small capital city but, just like you, was probably the only kid with our intrests at hand. Ha! Good stuff man keep it up.

Imagine being outside in the neighborhood playing with your rc and then you spot some observers so you hit the switches on em .. lol they would trip so hard on seeing that . It would have just as much impact if not more than if it was a real car with hydraulics .. lol cheers
I've been subscribed to jevries channel for a long time and saw it come out recently but I saw the price and definitely changed my mind on buying one....they are so cool but I'll wait until the price drops or someone has a used one on eBay lol....still hate you got rid of your real lowrider....that thing was soooo cool....keep up the great content brother....👍👍✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I just learned about this scale model and found there are quite a few new accessories that have been released (chain steering wheel, car cover, wheel knock offs). The model comes ready for an optional LED light kit and Redcat also offers 3D printer files for more accessories like bumper protectors, visors, club plaque, bumperettes, rear view mirror, steering toe mod, drop top cover, etc. Yes, a drop top cover/boot. Apparently you can chop the roof portion off making it a convertible. Redcat also offers the body by itself unpainted, all the chrome parts, interior tray or everything as a complete body package. A lot of thought definitely went into this model! $600 seemed like a lot, but it's really not with what you're getting. Jevries has long sold out on the limited edition variant with candy panels, but has announced development of some new wheels that he hopes to release soon and offers videos on how to modify and customize the model further. One in particular I watched shows how to lower the body and suspension (the shocks are not oil filled as suggested) so it looks like it's laying frame. Really cool!

Thanks for the review. $600 seems a bit pricey though. It does look like fun. Congrats. Try “Blue Magic” plexiglass/plastic polish and protectant to keep the body looking good. The polish is usually used for plastic automobile headlight lenses. Works great on audio and video discs as well.
I bought a red cat backdraft 8e years ago, and it still works great, Redcat are fairly decent

Dude theres so much room for a scale interior
read the plates. thats why its got a tiny motor. in real life it not common to see lowriders go on freeways because once you go over 40 with a low rider it becomes a terrifying experience with the small wheels and the "hard tail feel" that well known in hard tail custom motorcycle (guess what they dont go fast too!)
I been a lowrider nut all my life U be surprised alot of lowrider go on the highway one of my old friends he drives his lowrider everywhere even doing 75 80 on the highway with no problems

@Tyson Seabrook ah, wrong. The lifting mechanism is cheap. A couple of servos and some links. It’s all creativity, which is free.
