@@kimb8078 I was surprised to see how much older he looks now. He was a bedrock fixture in local news for so long. Now, he looks so frail. We can't fault age or curse time. It is the nature of all things.
@Cletus_the_Elder Yes, time goes by so fast, and unfortunately, a lot of things come with aging. I remember watching him years and years ago. He does look so frail. But it was so good to see him. You often wonder about people when they retire and see them years after. 🙂🌷
I met Dennis when i was 17 years old at my firs job at a car wash. He was such a nice and humble man to meet. It's an honor to shake his hand in this life time.
I grew up watching Dennis and Julie. Watching both of them on KTVU was like family on television. Every day there they were in our Bay Area living rooms. I remember when Dennis retired and now Julie. Thank you both and happy retirement. ❤
You guys, Elaine, etc were the voices of the news during my childhood. Thanks for the 20-odd years of your gentle, genteel coverage. Have a happy retirement 👋
Julie Haener was always a class act. Never any unnecessary chit chat or anything mean spirited or nasty ever. Just a sweet woman and a pure professional. Enjoy retirement Julie, you've earned it.
I lived in the Bay Area for 25 years and always enjoyed getting news from Julie and Dennis. She is ageless! I wish her the best in her retirement. Great to see Dennis too! Aww, the memories. 😊
Thank you Julie for all of your years of reporting. I will miss hearing your voice on channel 2. May you have a happy and healthy retirement with your family and friends.
I moved to the Bay Area in the 90s, and I grew up with Julie and Dennis. Thank you, Julie, for all the years on KTVU. You are a ray of sunshine. Please enjoy your retirement with your family and friends ❤❤☺️😇💜💜
I will always remember Julie Haener and Dennis Richmond. They've been with us for decades and they resemble the last classic American way of life, were you stay at a company for life. Dennis started as a janitor, and worked his way up and stayed for life. We've gone a long way, we are now just a number and disposable. I hope this classic American way of life is restored. Make America Great Again.
Dang, I remember Dennis Richmond with Elaine Corral for years. Dennis always looked like he was going to bust the seams on his jacket. Looked like he could play him some pro ball. Happy retirement to Julie Haener, and congratulations.
Thank you for all the family time you gave me growing up You’re a elegant lady and that’s how I’ve always looked at you. Thank you for always showing up. Thank you for your love to bay.
I met her years ago when she was a reporter and she was the same in person as she is on tv, very nice and professional news reporter. Wish her the best!
I grew up in 80s & 90s remembered both of them very well ,my parents used to watch news with them every night Congratulations to both of them 🥰😘💕 Good luck Julie😘
Wishing you a "Happy Retirement" Julie Haener. May God Bless You & Be by Your Side & Your Family Always❣️ We Love You & Will Miss watching You Deliver Our News to All the Bay Area. God Bless, Be Safe Always & Enjoy your Retirement & Your Family❣️ THANK YOU for YOUR SERVICES to OUR BAY AREA❣️ 💖🥰💞😘💖
I’m in my early 50s now and Julie Haener was one of the last remaining Bay Area news anchors from when I was a young man. I met her a few times and she was always very pleasant. She’s still too young to retire, but if she can afford it then why not? Go out and enjoy life!
I gave Julie her first job in TV news. I wish I had at least one silly story about her early days, but I don’t. She was hardworking , dedicated and great from day one.
Sad to see Jules go. Have watched her intermittently since the late 90s... But time cleansing is brutal. And with the workplace environment and values etc. constantly changing, her departure is inevitable... even though there's likely more behind the cause (at least according to Rich)......
Grew up watching Dennis Richmond with then Elaine Corral. Then Dennis Richmond and Leslie Griffith. And of course the last big name alongside Dennis Richmond, Julie Haner.
I saw the words Julie's son had to say about his mom. It speaks volumes about the type of person Julie is. Enjoy your retirement, you will be missed. Cheers! 🥂
Wow..Dennis. The MAN. I started KTVU around 1958. I was 7. I no longer watch regular television, just youtube. I enjoy fighting the fight in the comments sections for truth. Which means Don must go far away...and his lies.
@@MrTommason1968 I'm a little concerned, too. He still has his Facebook page, but he isn't posting on it as much as he used to. I'm hoping he just got busy.
It seems like yesterday when Dennis Richmond retired. He definitely looks older, but good to see he's still with us.
It's hard to believe Dennis retired 16 years ago.
@3ofus135 Yes, it is hard to believe it's been 16 years. 😮Time flies, he looks good.

same here. I remember weeknights it was Elaine & Dennis , then Leslie & Dennis and iirc, Julie took over when Leslie left, correct?

Dennis Richmond was the last real journalist in the Bay Area.
He was a no nonsense news guy.
If he said it, it was true, end of story.

Beautiful person inside and out. His husband and kids are lucky to have her. 3 decade career anywhere is impressive, nonetheless being an anchor.
Loved Dennis Richmond. So good to see him, but Julie you were as great. Wish you the best.
