BS&T is one of my favorite videos. You have to go back and watch it a few times. Once focusing on the lyrics and another time on the visuals. There are a lot of subtle things going on. Basically Jin is the protagonist of the video. The painting he’s looking at is about the downfall of mankind. Like you said, there are black and white doors. The boys enter as young bucks but then they get seduced by fame & fortune. You see the symbology in the chalice of green liquid, the blindfold and the Last Supper scene. RM is reciting from a book called Demian by Herman Hess that talks about losing yourself in the temptation. When they’re laying on the floor, it’s like a death shroud over them. Jin kisses the statue Abraxas and generally sells his soul (willingly) The real is that V is a fallen angel. Once they enter the museum again, their demeanor is very different. At the end you see Jin crack because of the pressure. But he willingly did so. It’s FASCINATING! Enjoy!

They are diplomats who have spoken at the U.N. 3 times and are highly educated. Update is most have completed their Masters and the others are working on theirs. I am OT7 but my biases are Suga, V and Jin. I didn’t notice Jin much at first but he is my favorite vocalist because of his range and the pure power of his voice. He’s the Ronnie James Dio of K-Pop. But BTS achieved it and that is why they are thanked and loved faithfully💜🙆🏼♀️

BS&T is one of my favorite videos. You have to go back and watch it a few times. Once focusing on the lyrics and another time on the visuals. There are a lot of subtle things going on.
Basically Jin is the protagonist of the video. The painting he’s looking at is about the downfall of mankind. Like you said, there are black and white doors. The boys enter as young bucks but then they get seduced by fame & fortune. You see the symbology in the chalice of green liquid, the blindfold and the Last Supper scene. RM is reciting from a book called Demian by Herman Hess that talks about losing yourself in the temptation. When they’re laying on the floor, it’s like a death shroud over them. Jin kisses the statue Abraxas and generally sells his soul (willingly) The real is that V is a fallen angel. Once they enter the museum again, their demeanor is very different. Jin is the last one I got straight…watch a few more solos of each! So glad you enjoyed BS&T; not gonna lie, I was concerned the wall2wall art and symbolism would turn u off. Honestly I can't speak for what Suga really wanted the "I'll forgive you" to mean, but since you asked for our interpretation of it I'll share mine ^^
For me the song is about how society makes "rules" and "molds" that make us miserable if we don't follow them. It makes us feel inferior if we can't achieve those standard and question our value when we look at others who actually fit. Hence my interpretation of "burn it up" and "fire": it's like they're encouraging the listeners to just burn that checklist that we use to compare ourselves with to others or determine our value in society. It's almost revolutionary lyrics asking people to rebel against the preconceived ideas of our society and put our happiness first.
But if you destroy something usually you get blamed for it. So for me "I'll forgive you" is another part of the encouragement they're giving as though they're saying "Just go for it, do whatever you want to do to be happy, even if others blame you for going against the system or being a rebel, we're on your side, we'll forgive you in their stead."

Fun story from Armys. There was an Army who visited Korea and saw trash burning outside a restaurant. Said Army does not speak Korean at all, but because of this song knew that the Korean word for Fire is: bultaoreune. So to get the attention of the restaurant workers, she kept on pointing and saying Bultaoreune until the restaurant owner saw and put out the fire. 😊

There was another story where an int'l army was in a Korean restaurant and the food was not heated so she called waiter and asked him to heat the food again but the waiter couldn't understand so she literally sang bultaoreune and then that's when the waiter understood.

An Easter egg: the handshake with the guy on fire is a re-creation of a famous album cover, Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd.
Suga wrote this song and it’s his Anthem for later BTS works. Fire is definitely his element. Of course that could just be my bias showing.
As for drinking…BTS was one of the first kpop groups to openly drink alcohol. And obviously be drunk on live video sessions. It was a middle finger to then current idol stance that idols didn't drink or smoke, at least openly.

But Jin said it was after Fire that he started being himself, which we now lovingly know is an absolute goof. And lol there's actually compilation videos of them drinking if you wanna watch it...XP

Your pronunciation of Bangtan Sonyeondan was pretty good. Thanks for another fun reaction video. I love how observant you guys are. 55 year old ARMY since 2018. I highly recommend you watch Taylor Mari’s Guide to BTS Members; The Bangtan 7. The 2022 one is slightly outdated but a shorter version that will give you a great introduction to the group and the individual members and their myriad of talents and accomplishments. They are diplomats who have spoken at the U.N. 3 times and are highly educated. Update is most have completed their Masters and the others are working on theirs. I am OT7 but my biases are Suga, V and Jin. I didn’t notice Jin much at first but he is my favorite vocalist because of his range and the pure power of his voice. He’s the Ronnie James Dio of K-Pop. Listen to Epiphany and you’ll understand what I mean. He is also a fantastic songwriter (Epiphany, Moon, Astronaut, etc). Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
