They missed including when Toby came back from the hospital and said what every parent knows.. that we'd do anything to protect our children. He added that if he felt that way right after their birth he could only imagine what the President was feeling and shouldn't be President at that time. (I'm obviously paraphrasing)
25:20 Does Toby think Jed dragged Leo into his presidential campaign instead of it being the other way around? It seemed like he was headed for retirement after he was done being governor.
It's been years since I've seen the show and forgot the "romance" of what it portrayed. There is no romance in politics anymore and the dem party does not care about the general welfare of the public. It is no longer the party of my father. It needs to get back to its roots and help the middle class.
I'm going to assume that you just forgot to put....."the Republican and dem parties do not care about the general welfare of the public." Or perhaps you just left it out, because that part was obvious. All I will say on that is that, IMO, one party is much worse than the other, in its concern of the general public. And that isn't the Dems. And I'm not so sure that getting back to the Dems roots is the best idea, as it was the Democrats that once supported slavery.
Yes! Pinocle is a card game but cannot be played without a pinocle deck. A pinocle deck has 48 cards not 52, and there are high cards only but two sets of each. The lowest card is the 9 of clubs, and there are two of them. The highest card is the ace of spades and there are two of them too. Other than that it's just like gin - sort of.
4:35 - I’ll never forgive Aaron Sorkin for this episode. The line ‘terrorism - what are you struck by most?’ from a…’high school’ student…makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it. FFS - just have an exposition episode where actors give speeches on 9/11…but spare us the *ridiculous* conceit (and often horrendous acting). It may be worse than the Cuba episode. The 18:20 scene between CJ and Toby may be the best 5 minutes in television history.
18:45 Wow. I forgot how powerful that scene was. What an incredible piece of acting.
An astounding scene, a magnificent actor in an outstanding ensemble.
“I don't want to alarm you, or anything, but I’m dad.”
And he is totally in love with them already.

Toby is my spirit animal.
"And the Laker Girls" Toby always a man of culture

The post-Sorkin years were riddled with continuity errors. In 90 Miles Away, they had Leo going to Sierra Tucson in 1995 instead of 1993.

You think the Republican Party has ever cared about the welfare of the people? Last time I checked the dems still wanted to expand public programmes

"What are you struck by most" lol that's so dumb
"Do you want some water?" "No." "Do you want some scotch?" "No." "Do you want me to go?" "... No."
Toby Toby Toby.
He leaked but he also tried to protect CJ who had also leaked it.
Great job, Hoda. Taking your time away and still getting paid by NBC. I retired early at 57 and I loved my career.
6:34 As Toby and Josh step to the bar, I think Toby could have said something like “She’s better than you deserve.” Josh replies, “Don’t I know it.”
Yeah, their sort of exasperated sighs didn't really do her line justice.
Huck Tuah. I am sorry. I really am.
LOL. And, ick.
