    Kevin i bought a real new Mikuni vm-32, for my 1974 Honda XL 250. of course it came way to rich,i decided to contact Sudco a Mikuni distributor and asked for some advice as to a jetting starting point. their recommendation for my Honda worked perfect. just say-in!

    Good looking bike. I assume the engines are very similar too the DS , PE, and early Rm models with the edition of oil pumps and heaver fMagnetos and starors for lighting.

    how to wrap your mind around the jetting differences in 4 and 2 stroke motorcycle carbs.

    • @2strokeguru
      @2strokeguru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there isn't much difference the key is the staring point and factory is a great place to start

    Hey Kevin I am rebuilding my 78 Suzuki TS100, doing a top end and I have reassembled everything and it wont run. Compression is pretty good, and the exhaust is off so I can see in the exhaust port that it is wet with gas/oil, likewise with the spark plug. But when I pull the spark plug from the bike and test it against the cylinder it has good visible spark. Could you give some advice on why the spark plug apprears to be working but the gas isnt burnt in the exhaust port

    I have a quick question, I had a leakinh exhaust that totally broke. I fixed it and smoothened it from inside because it was already welded and kinda rough. Now it doesnt leak but it feels like I have too small jet? Can only fixing exhaust effect that much? I have 28 mm dellorto and 130 main jet.

      @@2strokeguruits ts125 engine. Not sure what year. But the later LC model. Its welded to a rieju mrt frame so it is kinda hard to tell for sure. And it has some kind of better exhaust, branded hgs

      @@MegaJoojee I don't know what the factory jet is I will look eather way to exhaust leaks need to 100 repaired because of back pressure will cause loss of power and carbon build up

      @@2strokeguru yes it did work fine with that 130 but theb after repairing the exhaust it feels like its too small. Was just thinkig should I go and buy like 150-160 jet to try, or to see if I have a clog on fuel line or something.
