Yup, the host of this video doesn't seem to realize that the iPhone is making her skin look more tan than it really is. It's February, and cold... I doubt she spent enough time at the beach to look as yellow as all those iPhone photos made her. Pleasing doesn't always mean accurate.
Was about to comment that. In the studio we can see that she has pale skin, and that is what was captured in the Samsung and the Pixel. The Iphone is not giving her natural color, for these comparisons I think it is better for her to shoot someone else for it to be a proper comparison. Just because she likes seeing herself tanned doesn't indicate that the camera did a better job.

I’m giving this video a like because it clear you didn’t pick and choose the Samsung’s best shots every time on purpose to make it seem like the best. Overall, as a hobbyist photographer, I walk away from this video thrilled with my iPhone 15 Pro Max as I consider it the best camera overall by quite a bit. However, if you value a ton of features and versatility even if they’re not well-rounded, the Galaxy is great. But honestly, the Pixel might be a better choice, because it can do these things but with more consistent overall camera quality. Of course it takes the win if all you care about is AI photo editing, but I use Lightroom on my Mac, which wipes the floor with any phone built-in editor.
Now, one more thing: as someone who has all three phones, if you’re not a White person, and particularly if you’re a Black person who wants to represent your skin color accurately, you’ll want to avoid the Galaxy. Samsung, a Korean company, unfortunately values lighter skin tones and tried to brighten everyone up. The Pixel’s real tone can be a bit hit or miss, but when it hits it hits hard and I like it. Overall I’d still prefer the iPhone because Smart HDR 5 does a consistently excellent job with skin tones.

I appreciate the video, but I can't understand in the first category all the Samsung photos were bad, something must be wrong with the galaxy you were using, because I don't have that issue with mine, it takes regular photos much better than that in any lighting situation.

I have the s24 ultra and let me tell you this. The pictures are just not that great in my eyes. I had the pixel 7 pro before. Pixel just makes better pictures.

Yes, this is VERY important. Especially when it comes to smartphones, one can make a good camera look bad. Not to mention that smartphones these days highly depend on image processing via software, so a camera might produce poor photos due to a lack of updated software, then receive an update after the video is already published. I'm not saying Versus is a misleading channel. My point is viewers should have their critical mind turned on especially if they are researching on which phone to spend their money on.
Nice video, I like Pixel for Photo and for video I like IPhone, if we need both then go for Samsung . I saw other review videos in that Samsung performed well.

Three great devices for sure. I just want to say that I am beginning to warm to the Pixel's video capabilities. If Google could only work harder on it's low light video noise control, and allow it's newest devices to alter exposure via a simple on screen sliding bar or whatever, then I would be considering buying one in the near future. I am a lifelong Samsung flagship buyer may I just add.
Samsung really has great hardware for the camera. The image and video processing should be much better for that pricepoint.

This is the first year the Ultra photos look very "pixel like" to me. Normally I will always carry my pixel for the camera, but don't feel the need this year...thus far

Cobsidering most people will be taking shots with main cam, S24 is sadly just not great..
Most people nowadays prefers to take human photos and portraits in 3x mode. 1x is only used for scenary(no one gonna feel any difference unless they compare)or some document scanning(I do scan with UW tbh).

Literally the only ones the Samsung does good in are the ones where reviewers got early access and were ecstatic about that fact. But the iPhone’s photos are generally objectively better in each category.

You guys can hate me for saying this, but I always prefer iPhone. Just because there’s 0 lag when taking pictures (even in RAW mode), and the color is true to life. But if I got an Android phone, it would definitely be a Pixel. I don’t like Samsung’s OneUI, and all the extra unwanted apps it comes with. I know they can be disabled or deleted, but I shouldn’t have to do that in the first place.

So, the iPhone wins. This year has had the best iPhone camera upgrade in literally years. But to appreciate it we have to shoutout the 14 Pro for its amazing main camera and ultra wide. Yea, the hardware is mostly the same on the 15, but they finally refined the software to harness the massive sensors, which are larger than both Samsung and Google’s. And this year we get the 5x lens. Now, Samsung’s 5x has a slightly larger sensor, but the aperture is a lot larger on the iPhone so they are very even. Till you go into portrait mode and the iPhone’s smarter edge detection kinda wipes the floor with Samsung.
I don't what's going on with s24 ultra . My s22 ultra has no contrast and exposure issue, hopefully samsung will fix this next update so that I can upgrade to s25 ultra without any worry.

This is the first reviewer among the top TH-cam reviewers like MKBHD and others that say Pixel is the king. Pixel pro has been the best picture overall from 99 percent of the reviews. I guess this is a paid Samsung review. I have the ultra and my pixel 8 pro always look better
