I think most of us prefer the English dub because we got used to it and started to associate the characters with a certain voice .. I watched the anime in Japanese then played the game in English so I like them both .. well, except the fact the everyone keeps calling each other using first names so it was hard to stomach knowing they're Japanese people and using first names sound weird considering their kind of relationship .. so know I'm playing the second game also in Japanese and I'm loving it .. also Megumi Ogata is an ASMR goddess 😭♥️♥️

Oh my gosh. So you're telling me both Taka and Kaeya (from Genshin Impact) have the same Japanese voice actor... God, no wonder I simp for them both so much.
This is the man behind Zyunpei/Junpei Iori from Persona 3! However, him and Isimaru are complete opposites in terms of personality... In general, there's a lotta shared VAs between the Japanese version of Persona 3 and the Japanese version of this game! Togami is the male MC, Pharos, and Ryuji (Akira Ishida), Enoshima is Yukari (Megumi Toyoguchi), Ishimaru is Junpei, as stated before (Kosuke Toriumi), Owada is Shinjiro (Kazuya Nakai), and Naegi is Ken. (Megumi Ogata) Besides, Fukawa and Elizabeth were both voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, and I'm pretty sure Hagakure and Hidetoshi were both voiced by Masaya Matsukaze. (Well, at least that guy was voiced by Matsukaze for P3R. All of the OG social links are unvoiced.) Believe me, I take great pleasure in connecting voice actors between things I like so I can make weird jokes to the unsuspecting. The best part? Naegi and Ken look *scarily* similar.
It’s actually interesting to see the different voice actors, it also confirms why I didn’t like the English dub of the animation and stopped watching in episode 1, I could hear the difference in voices. Since all of the danganronpa Japan cast reprised their roles in the show I think I’ll go watch that one it’ll be cool to see how they did it.
Well, Funimation dubbed the anime version so only certain VA's like Bryce Papenbrook, Johnny Young Bosh, Kyle Herbert, & Todd Haberkorn could reprise their roles.
Celeste voice actor (for the game) did great, it fits Celeste very well, well everyone who voiced Celeste did great but I prefer the game version better.
Truth to be told, I usually don't like English Dub because they take away the literal Japanese translation- (I understand japanese and let me tell you, a lot of the translations are changed from literal and the literal translations give more information about the character) -But THH game casting is so good lmao, most of them sound on point. Idk why they changed them in the Anime lol

This is the man behind Zyunpei/Junpei Iori from Persona 3! However, him and Isimaru are complete opposites in terms of personality...
In general, there's a lotta shared VAs between the Japanese version of Persona 3 and the Japanese version of this game!
Togami is the male MC, Pharos, and Ryuji (Akira Ishida), Enoshima is Yukari (Megumi Toyoguchi), Ishimaru is Junpei, as stated before (Kosuke Toriumi), Owada is Shinjiro (Kazuya Nakai), and Naegi is Ken. (Megumi Ogata)
Besides, Fukawa and Elizabeth were both voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, and I'm pretty sure Hagakure and Hidetoshi were both voiced by Masaya Matsukaze. (Well, at least that guy was voiced by Matsukaze for P3R. All of the OG social links are unvoiced.)
Believe me, I take great pleasure in connecting voice actors between things I like so I can make weird jokes to the unsuspecting. The best part? Naegi and Ken look *scarily* similar.

It’s actually interesting to see the different voice actors, it also confirms why I didn’t like the English dub of the animation and stopped watching in episode 1, I could hear the difference in voices. Since all of the danganronpa Japan cast reprised their roles in the show I think I’ll go watch that one it’ll be cool to see how they did it.
Well, Funimation dubbed the anime version so only certain VA's like Bryce Papenbrook, Johnny Young Bosh, Kyle Herbert, & Todd Haberkorn could reprise their roles.
I weirdly watched the anime first, so I can’t fully relate.
And the fact that the dub had two women voicing Junko and Touko/Sho shows the superiority of JP seiyuus
Celeste voice actor (for the game) did great, it fits Celeste very well, well everyone who voiced Celeste did great but I prefer the game version better.

Truth to be told, I usually don't like English Dub because they take away the literal Japanese translation-
(I understand japanese and let me tell you, a lot of the translations are changed from literal and the literal translations give more information about the character) -But THH game casting is so good lmao, most of them sound on point. Idk why they changed them in the Anime lol
No doubt, the English voices for the first killing game's visual novel are effortless and so much fit.
