The reason that they changed it was because there was a sickness going around at the time that was easily contagious (I don't remember the sickness, but if you want to know you can probably look up this fact somewhere). As we all know, the Care Bears main goal is to teach little lessons around just being caring, and sharing is a part of that. Each Bear's (or other animal, counting the Care Bear Cousins) tummy patch is supposed to represent what they are teaching. Share Bear's is obviously shown with having two straws in the milkshake, signifying that one straw can be used for you, and the other for a friend. But when the sickness was going on, they obviously had to change it so kids wouldn't share something that someone to get sick from. Lollipops for the next best option, as since there are two of them, one could be for you and the other could be for a friend. I personally prefer the milkshake over the lollipops for aesthetic reasons, but I what the designers did made sense. I apologize if this was too long, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway and learned something new. Also my other favorite toys were Grumpy Bear, the Glow Worm, the Barbie Doll Case, the Rubik's Cube, the Magic 8-Ball, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, and the Army Men !!
