Hi, thank you for sharing your examinations, it’s very helpful!
I noticed for shodan exam you covered your tattoo but stopped doing so later on, can I ask why? I have lots of tattoos I have to cover for practice and I hear mix messages, from: it doesn’t matter.. they’re allowed, to: cover them, even try to use make up. Could you share a bit about this? I would love to hear what you have to say. Thanks!

Congratulations! It’s nice to know that your hard work has paid off. I have a question though. I was under the impression that both arrows need to hit the target in order to pass four and above. Is that not the case? I guess the words of the rules only say that “consistency” should be reached… Was your first shot close enough that they decided it was ok? I’ve been really nervous about needing to hit both arrows so seeing that that isn’t strictly necessary is a huge weight off my mind. Either way, you should be very proud of your accomplishment and I will be eagerly awaiting your fifth Dan test.
It´s ok if the sensei say it´s ok! 6 attemps in one and a half year - only possible in Japan.
To be honest, I was under the same impression! lol However, my first arrow was about a centimeter off, and when I asked my teachers about it, they explained that its incredibly unlikely to pass 4th level if you miss an arrow, but if everything else looks very good, they will allow one missed arrow. With 5th level however, you simply cannot miss an arrow.
@@kurikurinton I’m about to take my fourth Dan test in a month so it’s nice to know there’s at least some leniency for what really amounts to like a 1mm mistake. But there’s also a lot to be said for keeping your cool and making that second shot beautiful enough that they forgave the first miss. HOPEFULLY I’ll pass next month but I’m not pinning my hopes on passing first try. It’s really exciting to see you made it though. From what I’ve heard, 4 is one of the hardest tests.

Presentation gewd, but couldn't hear the arrow or bows precision
I'm confused , when I did my 4th dan test 25 years ago I had to wear a kimono so when I saw this video I thought you were doing your 3rd dan test. How things have changed.
It actually started a couple years back because of Covid! Because there were so many people taking yondan, they wanted to reduce the time for each round to get people in and out of the dojo quicker! But now that I passed yondan, I have to start preparing for godan with the kimono and everything :)
@@kurikurinton Lucky you, my 5th dan exam (all three attempts) during the covid was as usual, doing hadanugi, but handing the written test in advance.

次は五段 私の時は!審査二桁行きましたね😂岐阜の審査の時、高橋先生から岐阜は厳しいと言われるが岐阜が厳しいのではなくあなた達が下手すぎるって言われました
次の五段は地方審査ではなく中部は連合 一部地域は中央審査なのでとてつもない壁が ソクっても貰えない
離れ残身で右手が泳いだら?ムリ 体配は根本的変える必要有り 跪座にて踵とお尻の間は今までは手の平が入るくらい五段審査はクリちゃんの体型なら拳 一つか一こ半上げる 背筋を上方へ、左手拳肘肩の位置 皆さん跪座が辛いから弓を支え棒にしてみえます 範士の模範射礼とクリちゃんの審査動画を比較すると どこが違うか？ 腰を活かす事により拳肘肩の位置更に全体が活されてきます
とても辛いです ５月５日名古屋城の体育館の武道大会演舞 小笠原流の体配の刀を持った介添の蹲踞 あれは凄いが小笠原流ではないからそこまではいらないが連盟の最高位者に観て貰える体配 射を披露出来る事が心構えに必須
