I have COPDand get out to the doctors, once a month. This channel let's me see a lot of stuff I used to be able to go out and browse for. It brings the outside world into my home and it is great entertainment. Cool video, once again, thanks.

This definitely is great entertainment to me also!! I live in TX and going to visit my son in Connecticut soon. He plans to take me thrifting in a small portable wheelchair I got.......I can't wait!!!
I have had my E-lec-tro-lux for. Probably 30 years. If you take care of them, they last for a very long time. I have a canister type like you looked at. It cost $1,500. new.

The Electrolux vacuums work so well and even if heavy aren’t going to break so easily like a lot of the modern made junk! We have a ton in my parents and my household, love picking them up so cheaply!! You can easily repair things when they break too! I have a late 40’s early 50’s one I found at the curb that is all chrome and works still!
Electrolux is hands down the best sweeper made. I got my Mom's that was on rails instead of wheels from when my dad sold them door to door in the 1950's! That was her 1st one then my 1st one. Then i traded it in on a new one when i had babies crawling!
Who still uses an Electrolux? That would be me! I inherited it from my mother. She'd had it since I was little. I'm 60 now. I love it. It's a beast! I have a new stick vac for quick cleaning but for deep cleaning, ya can't beat the good ole Electrolux!

I just got back from Surfside Beach a week ago. Welcome to Greenville! 😃 I’m actually 20 minutes from town in the country but hit the Greenville Goodwills and find some great stuff.
I share your excitement for the mountains in the distance. I've been on the east coast of NC most of my life and my first trip out west to New Mexico, Nevada and California blew my mind with the mountains. I still get excited when I see the mountains in the distance.
Had the same vacuum when I was a kid back in the day when a salesman would come to the house once a month and ask my how it was working and she needed anything she would always ask for more bags for it and he would bring them the next time he came to the house
Electrolux vacuums ~ the gold one is the "Golden Jubilee" made in '74-'75. The turquoise one is the 1205 from 1968. These older machine NEVER die, the older models were built to last. The hoses probably leak like a sieve but that horsehair brush looks to be in fabulous shape for its age! I was a Division Service Mgr in Atlanta for the company decades ago.
Absolutely right they are near indestructible! I own 3 Kirbys 2 electrolux, 1 miele upright, a shark and a Bissell the last two my kids use ha ha ( the others are too heavy and cumbersome for them just yet)
My teal machine has the works with awesome horse haired hardwood floor attachment as well as the couple accessory attachments, hose is fabric the golden one has electric hose and is n plastic coated neither leak!!! The only hiccup I had to fix was a belt on teal beaterbar head and it's door latch from being carried by hose at top it loosened the latch. Other than that they are sitting props in my craft room.
Great adventure😊. The missing shoe....some stores keep one in back or at cashier. Helps to prevent stealing of high $$ items. Always an informative and entertaining shopping trip.😊

I remember the day a door to door salesman came to my house and my Dad bought the tan one; 1:22 replacing the Elec Tro Lux (how it’s pronounced) that my Mom had been using for years prior. THAT one had sled like runners on it! Lol. I’m 65 now and glad I don’t have to change vacuum bags anymore (was my chore), but both were excellent & well built!

My parents had one. That’s what we vacuumed the house with from the 80s and 90s. I think they got rid of them in 2016 when they moved to FL. AND they still worked. Those vacuums are beasts! Even after falling down the stairs several times, oops!

Funny story, watching this as I cooked bkfst this morning... when you said vacuum I immediately stopped and looked over...I grew up helping my grand daddy in his vacuum shop... from 8-16yr old. I learned to repair/ service them and all about them. If I made a sale while he was out on installs I made out great! I always aimed to sell the shiny ones ( Electrolux ) and My favorite Miele Canisters. I have both of the ones your purchased... got them out of salvation army dumpster actually. I need to destash and unhoard so I reckon it's time to post these bad boys!

I'm in Canada. I kid you not, I had a couple of those beige Electrolux vacuums up till 5 years ago. Still used them. I used to have them serviced in at a local repair store. I remember him telling me that those vacuums rarely die but the parts are very hard to find. That's probably why the parts get such a good after market price.
We visited all the GWs in Commonwealth's neck of the woods last month and the prices are getting higher, and I was surprised at the amount of NEW stuff all around the store such as candy, kitchen utensils, clothing and more. It looked like they were combining thrift with dollar store items. I was so confused lol. MR JINGLES!!! Excellent movie...WALKIN' THE MILE!!! Kayla please make him watch GOODBURGER! It was expensive way back then. My son uses it. I bought a used gold one with new hose for $75 years ago at Flea. Matthew flooded it. If they work, the're fantastic. I replaced my gold one with new lightweight model for about $150. You can't beat an Electrolux! Those would have sold just like they were if the motor stiill worked and there was suction. I really liked the Mexican Art birds. I would ask to bid, but have no wall space. I wanted that little $9 Globe that was in first Greenville Goodwill, but you left it as you were saying everybody's screaming "get that I'll buy it" but you were talking about the pretty pink seashell. Fun fact about the original Twister movie....They actually filmed the acting scenes of them talking inside the truck, on red brick roads in Ponca City Oklahoma. It was really cool to see it in movie theater bc it showed them on a dirt road...
There's a Goodwill Outlet in Greenville, a.k.a "the bins." Can't believe you skipped that. I've been once several years ago, early on in reselling, and got several things cheap that sold for me, including my first Dansko clogs.

The candle sticks say " not for food purposes". Pretty hard eating off of candle sticks!! ? (I do know that they automatically print that whenever they use paint that is not food quality)
I buy my dog a stuffed animal every time I go to goodwill. She loved the little monster I got her today with googley eye. My bedroom is filled with stuffed animals.
3rd goodwill is in the old people/Spanish folk part of town. Rarely find diamonds in there. High end rare finds. Can get bread and butters. But not a great goodwill in this area
Nice. In the second GW there was a pie dish on the bottom shelf. Don't sleep on Pie dishes. I sell them right before Thanksgiving and Christmas. last one I sold was the Apple pie cover one for $70 Allways look up the Brand though.

Electrolux vacuums are great!! Wish I had been smart enough to keep mine all these years. My mom had one 70+ years ago!
For stains i use Zote bar. Sold at the grocery store with laundry soap. I use a grater and then add some to a spray bottle with water. It's amazing .
