Very nice and thanks for demoing. I recently acquired a lot of letters/bill heads from an early 1900’s business in my area. In 1913 they contacted Singer about this model for replacement parts. I searched the model and here I am watching you. Gotta love technology.
I grew up on one of these. My grand fathers upholstery shop used one until 1985 or so. Did the job for non vinyl or leather work. But I soon got into a much better class machine that is still the standard.
@@mikehrywnak8360 any thing from the 111w-155 ( invented pre WWII) to the newest and best version of that (higher foot lift, bigger bobbins, etc) which for one would be a Juki 1510 . But many other manufactors have similar machines. Conso 206 will do upholstery but not as all around work as It's bigger brother's like the Juki 1510. Some do the same type feed and power but scaled back just a little. Depends on your pocket book and work load. Me being a professional full time guy sewing millions of miles of heavy canvas, upholstery stuff I prefer the N1510N-7 Auto trimmer. The market it baffling to a newbe with the machines out there now and one has to be educated to deal with it all. If not a used Conso 206 RB will suffice a home guy.
What brand servo motor set up do you have on your 16. I love the speed control. I have both a 31-15 and a 331K105 walking foot Singer. The Singer clutch motors are hard to feather the speed from their 2300 stitches per minute. Enjoy your video. Farmer John in WI

Hi I just picked this sewing machine up and can't seem to find any information for it online. Could you be of some assistance?
Any idea if these are still in demand? I recently found one with an industrial motor and I'm wondering what it's worth.
Not sure! I know that they're antique. I still have mines but I don't use it much.
