- Today was the first day of a new traffic scheme for Philippine Science High School. I think it went very well and the school were well prepared for it. There were a couple of people who insisted on unloading in front of the school, causing a queue of vehicles to grow behind them. But most people were cooperative and I think it's going to help with congestion in the area.
We also came across a Buko vendor whose cart was in the road, potentially adding to traffic and congestion. Unfortunately there were people across the road who were trying to stir up trouble. That kind of thing could be deadly considering the tools carried by people handling coconuts.
I respect a man trying to earn a living, but it comes at a cost to the general public. If they block the sidewalk, pedestrians walk in the road. That leads to accidents, injuries and traffic. If they block the road, that obviously adds to traffic and also puts them at risk of being hit by a car.
Later we came across a PWD parking area which was occupied by motorcycles and we also saw some obstructions affecting the PWD ramps.
After that, we were traveling to another area when we noticed some tow trucks parked by the side of the road. They had towed a stalled vehicle but they didn't have any reference number from the MMDA Metrobase.
When an MMDA accredited tow truck is going to pickup a vehicle, they should have a reference number from the MMDA Metrobase. This allows the MMDA to make sure the vehicle actually makes it to the impound and that it's not just an excuse to start a "negotiation" on the side of the road. - บันเทิง

Seems reasonable to me that they would remove the drive shaft on a rear wheel drive truck with an automatic transmission.
In many rear wheel drive vehicles with automatic transmissions, the fluid is driven by a pump in the transmission. That pump (often referred to as the front pump) is driven by the input shaft rather than the output shaft. The fluid acts as a coolant as well as a lubricant, but is also put under pressure when the pump is active. If the transmission fluid is not circulating, but the transmission components are moving, heat is generated, damaging the internal components of the transmission. To prevent the heat from being generated, the drive shaft is removed to allow the vehicle to be towed without causing expensive damage. It's also necessary to fix the drive shaft so that it will not fall or come loose during towing to prevent further damage to the truck and the road surface. It needs to be tied up or chained.
Most of the vehicles you see the MMDA towing are probably front wheel drives that are lifted at the front so your MMDA fellas don't need to disconnect drive shafts.

Sa kalsada kase sya naglalako. Ang kalsada para sa mga sasakyan. Kahit nga bike nahihirapan dumaan sa kalsada, eto pa kaya nag lalakad lang may tulak tulak pang mabigat. Pano na lang kung may dumaan na truck, edi tigil lahat ng traffic kase di kasya diba.

Ang kalsada ay para sa sasakyan at pedestrian at hindi sa lugar para pagtindahan. May tamang lugar para sa negosyo. Kaya di umaasenso tayo dahil sa ganyang rason

Marami pa ring Tao na matitigas ang ulo na tulad nito. Matuto tayong sumunod para di tayo'y masita kung ayaw nating masita ganun lang kasimple iyon. Wag pairalin ang bugok na pag-iisip
