If your dad is anything like mine was he knows you need it and wants you to have it but says he will come use it once in a while. Dad's are perceptive people and probably cheered on by moms and husbands 😉 enjoy. Eucalyptus would overwinter in tubs in the tunnel = bigger and better next year.
That’s a tough decision because a floral cooler is game changing also. Hopefully Dad is cool with the borrowing program and you can get the best of both.

Oooo tough decision. I remember you struggling to keep all your flowers nice earlier in the season without the fridge space. Would having a fridge help you from needing to harvest so often? It would also keep you from from wasting product by extending the shelf life of the flowers you cut. The kubota would definitely help you save on time and reduce the wear and tear on your body, but if you can borrow your dad's I would go for the fridge first.
If ya don’t buy it, it still seems necessary to make ur time more efficient. Do u have a riding mower or something that could pull a small (but bigger) wagon? Seems it’d be worth the energy saved and wear n tear on yourself, especially in the hectic parts of the season. If ur already struggling for time to get everything done, yet want to increase ur sales/productivity next year, ya need a way to make that happen without killin yourself in the process. Steve has a good point though...a cooler is necessary too. Tough decisions but the orange mobile would definitely be fun 🤩
Buy the cooler and use a lawnmower and a gorilla cart to tote things. I have to tote water to my pigs and i will eventually get a kubota but, until then I am using the lawnmower and gorilla cart.
Hi Nicole just thought I'd share a hack about those flimsy florists buckets that can split when picked up I put 2 together drill 4 small holes in a cross formation then fasten them together with cable ties on two opposite sides then on the other two I leave the cable ties long maybe a loop 4 inches tall and create a long carry handle out of thick polypropylene twine I load the flowers either side of the handle so it's easy to pick up when full it's a good way of using those cheap or free buckets that supermarkets often have. much love x
You really need it. We have had a John Deere Gator for years now & we use it so, so much ( small horse farm)...shifting little horses, horse food, fire wood, garden stuff so much....manure, compost, getting rid of weeeds. I even pulled out some big woody weeds with it. The only thing I would like better is an electric one like "Garden Answer" has..... soooooo would love that ...she takes off and you hear NOTHING!!

We bought a used John Deere utv from a friend…it’s set up for winter use but we need it in FL. I just know my husband will keep it for up north and I’ll still be using a golf cart with my gorilla cart hooked to it in FL 🤣🤣🤣

I grew up in a family started and owned retail business. During the first 8-10 years, you reinvest in the company building infrastructure and buying things that help make the business run more efficiently. The Kabota is an absolute must buy and so is the cooler. I think items come your way just when you need it! I think sharing the Kabota won't be practical. You'll use it continuously. I have a golf cart for our property and we won't ever be without one again! See if your dad will do you the favor of giving you a "dad loan" and make smaller monthly no interest payment over a longer period of time. Then, also buy a cooler for your flowers. You can get creative and see about converting a retired cargo truck box, insulate it and install the cooling unit yourself. I've seen that done and it works perfectly!

Beautiful flowers and the Kubota will be so useful. As others have said, you need to treat your body with care, so an injury if you're a one person operation can be really tough. Anything that helps with lifting, carrying and other physical duties helps a lot. You may have covered this before, but if any of us want to sell our flowers, wonder how you go about pricing them? I know some sell wholesale to florists and some sell retail to customers. But the prices seem to be all over the place with some basically charging less than a dollar per stem - with the cost of the seeds, plant stock, fertilizer, water always increasing and your time then I wonder how to make a profit? Any information about pricing your products would be helpful.

My daughter has had bouquets in her bedroom all summer long during this covid lockdown.. really cheered her up. We are back into lockdowns now. We are in at home isolation due to possible close contact tracing with covid positives. The only thing bringing me some sanity in this crazy world is flowers. So happy I planted lots to enjoy. Can’t sell them bc of the lockdowns., but we are enjoying them in the house as much as possible. If all else fails., lots of flowers for the funeral. Sending love and best wishes. Keep growing. 🌱🎚🙏🏻
