U series for me. I am not gaming on a PC. Mostly just web-browsing and doing productivity work. The lower heat and longer battery life is paramount. Leave the powerful stuff for a dedicated PC for gaming on.
The i5 4210U is an old CPU so i don't know if it can handle the latest programming software. The u300 is a game capable CPU.. its 15w max it has 1x P core and 2x threads and it has 4x E core's and 4 threads.. so its a 5 core 6 threads 13th generation CPU has a 3.3ghz max boost clock for the E core's and max P core boost to 4.4ghz its DDR5 memory PCI express 5 supported for nvme SSD's 8mb Intel® Smart Cache. Among many other things.. its way faster than any N100,N200 ect for the same power budget its way way faster performance.. its as fast as the 12100 i3 desktop chip at a fraction of the power. Its meant for ultra low power consumption devices but i want to see it in more stuff like mini PC desktops.. it is as cheap as a n200 CPU so all the n100 and n200 mini PC's should be using the u300 chip its more cores and thread's and way faster for the exact same power budget..

@@tech-techover A question please, regarding the above question, the i7 1165G7, I don't see any U, P, or H in it, I only see a G, so what does that mean, thanks.
@@YazzaY1 That's because it's the "G" series. It is a low power CPU mainly used in thin laptops, with 4 cores and 8 threads, but its performance is almost equivalent to Corei7-10750h. It also has a built-in graphics called "Iris", which is almost equivalent to GTX1050, so you can enjoy some games!

U series is worst for any serious work, they might only be good for simple tasks and for students. Getting a P series if cannot afford a H series is best option. There are several slim laptops with p series chips. Having both a decent p series laptop and a gaming desktop is the best option.
I've finally come to understand why someone might need a close to PC performance Laptop. It maybe due to not that great electricity where that person lives so to have a PC a user needs to also spend extra money on a fast UPS an Inverter with at least 200ah battery which will cost at least 2/4 depending on budget of PC. For laptop an already installed inverter, which most people do have installed on places with bad electricity. But at least you don't have to spend on UPS and less chance of damage to laptop than PC because of electrical surge as Laptops have inbuilt battery and are low powered so can run longer on a small inverter battery too

I'm guessing it's an i5 and not R5. And it's a 7th gen CPU if I'm not wrong. The combination will throttle the GPU since the CPU is of an older generation. You should probably look around for a computer with a 10th generation CPU and upwards, with the sweet spot being 12th generation.
@tech-techover at this price range? Yeah, gpu is quite old. But i don't even need more. I don't do 3d modelling or even photoshop or stuff like that. Just pretty rarely. Im not even a gamer.
