- Matt Pinfield 1st show as host with cohost Depeche Mode on MTV 120 Minutes (1993.03.07) Dave Gahan Martin Gore
Had to remove any DM videos including the short bumper videos as DM copyright is strong!!!
Thanks to the legendary duo of Art & Steve who recorded and preserved the original 120 episode from whence this clip has been derived!
If you are an avid 120 Minutes fan and a trader/collector of actual episodes of the show, do please drop me a line. Although I have a fair number of shows, I am always looking for more in order to archive as many as possible, if you are willing to share, trade, or sell, please contact me.
If you recorded the show on VHS and still have your original video tapes but don’t have the capability of transferring to dvd and/or digital, I’d be more than happy to transfer them for you and send your original VHS back to you along with dvd and/or digital files.
Caught them on this tour in ‘94. My mate and I went to the club DM were going to for a drink after their show in our little town. We waited hours for a gap to sneak past the bouncers and get to the VIP section where they were. The moment arrived and bam we were at Depeche Mode’s table. We said hi and before we could finish telling them how great they are, Martin invited us to sit and we had Margeritas with our hero’s. At first all I could get out was ‘do you know the Cure’ and my mate ‘why didn’t you play ‘Somebody’. Afew cocktails later it was just like hanging with an older brother and his mates. Really good guys. Martin signed my mates ID book ‘don’t arrest for dinking and driving, the law of Gore!’
Love them🖤 Martin tipsy like crazy 😂
They were such kids, actually. I remember I was looking up to them as idols, adults back when I was a teen. Very nostalgic looking at this.
Martin is definitely buzzinnnnn 😂 What a sweet interview. I was too young to stay up and watch this show but was allowed to leave the recorder programmed 😅 thanks for sharing this!
I don’t know if you noticed but he’s crying.
oooooh, i miss the 90’s. ♥️
I had no idea he was on the show that early
Same. I thought maybe 95-96 when he took over
It was, this was a guest hosting job for him a few years before he took over@@atlanteantruth
Martin woke up ...😂
Мартин: " Надо было пораньше лечь сегодня". Дейв : " Я и не ложился , ок ! Всё пучком" 😂❤
Martin was such in a mess in this era, so was Dave but Dave could hide it better than Martins, 2:11 look at Martins eyes and expression, hes not happy at all.
He is drunk or hangover or both.
And he was crying
Lookin at Dave right here makes me realize that he was a strong influence on Kat Williams in the 2000’s.
One of all time great bands ever, these guys got chemistry that rarely comes along. Martin is one of the greatest songwriters in popular music history
😂😂😂😂 the heck are you talking about
detachable penis!!!! HOLY SH!T!! anyone else remember that song?!? i have fond memories of singing that with friends at high school lunch break. class of 94 🙌
They had that hit and Martin Scorcese which was as bug a hit but a good sing
@@patobantan420 pato bantan. a great user name, made even better by 420!!
They dont seem very happy around each other....a sign of the disaster that was surrounding them.
This tour almost killed Dave.
Hooked on heroine, he over dosed on what they call an 8 ball a mix of coke, and heroine.
The L.A. county medics nic named him the cat.
Dave literally stressed everyone out, he'd disappear for day's at a time. Allen left indefinitely because of how this tour unfolded.
@@kristaburt9210 I was around in those days ...a fan since 83...david hanging out with Alice In Chains...this couldn't be good...look what ultimately happened with Layne Staley.
@@kristaburt9210I know and Martin was drunk all the time. Plus Fletch underwent a severe nervous breakdown. From a French devotee since 1980 .
SOFAD remains my fav album ❤
Coke/heroin is a nasty mix. That’s called speedball not 8 ball. 8 ball is an eighth of an ounce of coke.
@@jeffreymika You are correct. It is a dangerous mix which can be deadly.
A speed ball killed John Belushi at 33 years ago at the peak of fame. He was seriously addicted to Cocaine apparently and then tried to chase a bigger high or a different one. Coke is a stimulant and speeds up the heart while Heroin is a depressant and painkiller. So combining them is not a good mix. Neither is Alcohol.
Chet Baker described it in the Lost Get Lost documentary in which he didn’t hide his drug use.
🥰👍❤❤❤👍🥰
Dave was abusing smack during this era.
Where is Martin in this interview? He seems distracted.
This was sad to watch. At first he looks like he's an obnoxious teenage boy who was forced to go to the interview by his parents. As I watched more, it's clear something is going on with him. Dave's holding the interview down, poor Matt Pinfield, lol!
One looks coked.out and the other drunk AF
Мартин походу в слюни.....😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
