He's never sounded better IMO. Mean, cutting, earthy and up front. It sounds like the amp is about to explode. It may not be as flattering as a Marshall on its own, but in a mix it's spectacular, and it sounds less "artificial" to my ears.
Hey fenders actually have a fatter sound then marshal marshalls have higher treble for rock and they do that on purpose fender amps have amazing bass and you can add treble when needed go to a music store plug them both in and I gauruntee that kost fenders are thicker sounding and they are made that way for a reason some Marshall amps sound thick but only a few
