I don't want to persuade you to buy this one way or another! I wanted to share my first impressions of this game, and make a fun video, because it's been on my radar for while now. After playing Ghost of Tsushima, anything even remotely similar captures my attention!

45:20 I was amazed at how incredible the characters looked that it caused me to pause the video to take it all in. Imagine my surprise upon resuming when at 45:35 you said the very same! 😮😂

This game looks pretty freaking good! And it's absolutely fine if you do or do not make this a series, you do you, and we all need those games to just sit in silence sometimes and chill out and play.
Facts!! And I haven't been able to stop thinking about this game since making this video... I kinda want to keep it for myself before making a playthrough! I'm also not sure if I'll be good enough to actually finish it 😂

As much as I'd love for this to be a new series I understand you can only do so much. You deserve to be able to play a game for fun and not turn it into work. Fun fact about your first mission, Commodore Perry was Oliver Hazard Perry's brother. Miranda will forever be my favorite samurai either way. Hope everyone has an amazing day.

Great video Miranda! I came into the game pretty much blind myself and am having a blast so far. Would love to see you turn it into a full gameplay series. You mentioned that you were enjoying Shogun and it got me thinking about the Baby Cart movie series from the 70's. If you've not seen any of those movies, then you should definitely given them a watch, they're based on a Manga and are superb; balletically bloody, aesthetically lyrical/beautiful and incredibly atmospheric. Even better (in my opinion) is the movie Shogun Assassin, which is an edited version of the first two Baby Cart movies.'Tis freaking awesome and was one of the key inspirations for Quentin Tarantino's Kill BIll.

I LOVED this sneak peek of a potential series! It looks amazing and I trust you to know that the controls are also awsome! I do feel bad that we only get a partner for a small while before we lose them but so curious about the story and the gameplay! I hope you do make this a series! But totally understandable if you are too busy right now! But maybe in a couple of months?

I would love to see a full playthrough of this game Miranda just to see if it's truly worth playing, it looks like it could use a update patch but all in all it looks good so far
I hate Souls games but I absolutely love Rise of the Ronin. I really don't see it as a "Souls" game personally. I'm 33 hours in and it's so awesome. You 100% should do a fully playthrough as I think you will love it and the story and characters are fantastic.
If you continue the series I would definitely watch it it's entertaining and interesting and I'm interested to see what you think about the rest of the game

Rise of the Ronin is from Team Ninja, who have a....certain reputation when it comes to their combat mechanics. Nioh 1 & 2 and Wo Long all have pretty fast paced, flashy combat that has a lot of nuances, and it has a tendency to get out of hand very quickly for a lot of players. You actually did astoundingly well if you're unfamiliar with Team Ninja's style. lol

The intro reminded me of games 20+ years ago. You might get a video intro that looked amazing (at the time) but then the game started and it's all low rez sticks and blobs. Sometimes the intro video was the best part of the game. Now the games look as good as the video or the video is simply done in game.

That intro made me feel like I was watching Shogun but played from a PS5 😯 that was crazy! I haven't a clue what happened but it looked cool and sounded cool but I processed like nothing ha ha Ghost of Tsushima all over again like I just know wicked cool swords and outfits and crazy music and shouting and energy lol like alright I guess we're in this ha ha 😆 my sensors were just bombarded and I am still not sure what happened.

If you enjoy this game, I suggest you to check other Team Ninja games.
Ninja Gaiden is a classic, probably the hardest they ever made, but it also has easier difficulties, so it can also be played casually.
Nioh is more similar to this one, with more focus on combos than counters. It also takes place in Japan, around 1500 and 1600. Nioh 2 especially is one of my all time favorite games.
I hope Rise will bring back TN to their levels, because ngl, Wolong kinda disappointed me. Maybe it's just a genre thing, because I didn't enjoy Sekiro either, despite it being objectively a great game.

The enemies that you face in there they do that but when the character you’re playing, turns evil they don’t do that. We need a free installable mod to make smoke flying death in Hogwarts just great.

Many folks believed "Rise" would equal "Ghost" and even surpass it.... and well... it does not even come close. It simply does not measure up to "Ghost", which remains a masterpiece.
Not much of a Soulslike/Nioh gamer? Fantastic games! This game is alright, step backwards for Team Ninja because their first open world, but still fun.

For those who criticize "the visuals" of the game I will say, you are entitled to your opinion of course, but that is something totally superficial, and trivial at the end of the day.
"Elden Ring" one of the greatest game of history, visually looks like a direct DS3 sequel and as if it had been released in 2018, and "Demon Souls Remake", a true next-gen Souls game, yes visually incredible, and that was it, the only strong point, because otherwise DSR was a bland, simplistic and very forgettable and hollow game.
Without going that far, within Team Ninja, ROTR visually is closer to 2020's Nioh 2 and Nioh 2 is one of the greatest games ever, a masterpiece to this day. On the other hand "Wo Long Fallen Dynasty" that came next, also by Team Ninja, that looked total next-gen and it was a shitty, shitty bad game in a lot ot things...
I'm sorry, but the visuals are trivial, no matter the usual tales of PS5 and next-gen consoles, and the bla, bla, bla, who cares...
