However, there's a net touch by the german (black and red) player number 19 on the first "carried ball"; and then it's taken 2-3 seconds to the referee to call the second "carried ball"... I wonder whether the first referee called the second "carried ball" because he had seen the net foul but the net foul had not been called by the second referee...
I think it should be ok to carried if you’re in mid-air. Other than that, it should be illegal. Just like dunking is ok when you’re trying to block. But dunking is considered carried if you’re on the offense, so it doesn’t really make sense.
@@cc-cc4499 Read the FVIB Volleyball Rules Book. It says nothing about catching and throwing mid air. And if you watch the Men Olympic Volleyball match, you see they do it a lot times.
My bad. After watching it again both official’s are waving off the net. So it was outside the antenna. Hard to see from the angle it was recorded. I would have called the illegal hit also.
I was surprised what kind of referee is he .At 15 he should take decision of caught ball cause the setter is a back court player and the trajectory of the ball is going into the opponent court .
@Bart-Jan Crum this situation is very basic : this 15 seconds setter is tricky... The set on 1 hand is not wonderful but the referrer has accepted : no problem here. The setter is in position 1, 6 or 5, he can still take the ball over the net and take it back to his team's game (the ball can't be 100% on the other court !), If an opponent (player) touch or block the setter s ball in this 15 sec situation = fault of the white/blue player.

bad call. The touch he whistled was equivalent to the white team's hit on the immediately prior transition. Either both were lifts, or neither were.

Number 7 was carried/lifted the ball obviously.
There were like 3 carries lol at least the ref called it after each team got a shot to be fair
Plz answer ..if any part of the ball lands on the side lines of a volleyball court is it considered as a good ball or out ball?????
If any part of the ball is in contact with the line it is considered to be inside the court (BALL IN).

No, you cannot carry aka catch & throw the ball anytime in any play in volleyball.

FIVB states nothing about grabbing and throwing the ball MID-AIR. And the Men Olympic team does it all the time.
