Love it, perfect for me considering I generally travel by myself. Would like to see this tug handle a bit of rough seas. I travel up and down the West coast of Florida visiting friends from Pensacola to Key West, lots of open water to deal with. I'm getting older and sailing is wearing me down on long trips now. Great video thank you!
shawnstam - this boat is not even remotely designed or intended to circumnavigate. It's purpose is to comfortably and economically cruise inland or coastal waters, which is does very well.
The boat made "narry a ripple." I have not heard that term used since my great grandfather was alive. Wow, someone went way out over the edge to use a term like that.
I made this video almost 20 years ago, and you are the first person to comment on "narry a ripple"! An ode to my grandfather, who also said wonderful things like "purtneer" and "I'll be jiggered"... :-)
Very nice, well design compact tug. It is a shame that for us in the Southeast, the selection of trawler/tugs is somewhat limited. As our population grows older, the cruising boats as SeaRay/Formula become less desirable, trawlers become more desirable. Specially in hot weather states like Florida!
Lovely boats - I prefer the older versions with the "L" shaped galley and the traditional V-berth arrangement forward. Pricey indeed, but excellent pocket cruisers priced like houses. Sell your house and move into an effficiency apartment on the water!
I have given up waiting for payment for guarantee work for a crack in the GRP around the transom gate on my Nordic 37. They appear to have ignored my claim. I think Nordic's UK agents went out of business some time ago. If you are a light sleeper test the 37 out before you buy. Water lapping on the bow waterline is very tedious.
You wont find another tug so well built but avoid the Ford Lehman engine because it is very noisy. Cummins are much quieter, which is important on a long passage. I have owned both engines. The Ford reminds me of a tractor engine.
I never understood why any boat has carpeting. It always ends up looking like shit. Go with the teak flooring. Looks great and is probably much better, long term.
It’s like asking my girlfriend to get out and do something. Perfectly possible, but it’s going to take a little engineering, do u have a welding machine
I hate when a review is cluttered with things like tankage, motor, range, fuel burn etc. Even worse, sometimes people actually discuss design trade-offs or even, horrors! Things that could be improved.

No head room on the centerline bed to sit up to read or watch TV. This seems to be huge drawback to all these small trawlers.
As an owner of a 5 years old 32 boat, the visibility as you mentioned is VERY POOR. On plane the boat isn't perfect "on plane". there is a degree of upwards in the bow of the boat. From the seating position I can't see squat. I have to stand up to be closer to the window and see in front of the boat. Very poor design. This is the general opinion of real boat owner and not of a salesperson.
This is one of the BEST boat reviews I have seen on TH-cam. Thank you!!!!!
Excellent Video! We are proud to be Western Canada's Dealer for Nordic Tugs and happy to assist anyone seeking more info on these awesome boats.

Beautiful boats! If I wasn't convinced that a Sailboat is the right choice for us, I'd be hunting down a Nordic Tug in a heart beat!

what is the cruising speed and wot speed? fuel consumption?

How are the hulls made hand laid or chopper gun.
carpet wrapped engine hatches a great fire spreader

Is the 32 trailerable?
Probably not.

How about a big rig
A helicopter might work but literally, a fat girl swing from a helicopter, what can go wrong.
No one tells me about capital gains if I sell the house and buy a boat?
Anyone have an idea on how much it would cost
dakota diesel - try doing a Yachtworld search for Nordic Tug 32s. If there are any for sale you’ll find out how much people are asking.
pacificNWboater I’m looking at my first boat. Will you take a look and tell me what you think. Also I have some questions about shipping/
If you have to ask!!
I would guess, $300K?
If your planning of circumnavigating these boats are not pratical at all. You will not cross a ocean in them.
Yeah...they're not very good at flying the traffic pattern at JFK airport either.
Beautiful Machine !
i could dock a boat like that, ithink my grandson could could too, show in tight quarters aside from that nice boat
Спасибо!!!
