I love imagining lil mo running around, dreaming of having a sunken living room.

In junior high, I had no idea chairs could be art. It's cool the Eames couple teamed up with Girard for festive 60's upholstery.

The Miller House is one of the most iconic houses in the world. A must visit (along with the rest of Columbus, IN) when you’re in Indiana.

Attention all current interior designers! It's time to get off the GRAY EVERYTHING kick, and add some COLOR once more to home interiors, enough already! Great video!

I remember a long time ago " Herman Miller" office furniture was everywhere I worked back in the 60s and 70s..I never forgot those cubicles..Alexander Girad was way ahead of his time!!..have you ever watched "OFFICE SPACE" the movie??? Yep...thats it!!! I will bet he had something to do with the designs on the movie "2001: Space Odyssey" 1968 where Dr Floyd met the Russian Scientist and the "conference meeting" at the moonbase... I looks like something he would create!!!

Went to this exhibit in Palm Springs Feb 2020 just before the pandemic. I don't think it's there anymore.

Alexander Girard had a pavilion at the HemisFair exposition, held in San Antonio in 1968. City maintenance crews whitewashed the pavilion's exterior walls at the end of the fair, destroying its colorful painted graphics. Moral: never count on the judgement of common folks, who make no effort to think things out.

These colors are still great but they’re not being used as much in the households - because people are still scared to be bold and use more colors.
