The style of hip hop resembles a genre called Boom Bap. I also hear music that is a mix of hip hop and electronic and specifically sounds just like this in the popping dance competition scene, so I would call it "popping music" as well. Most modern popping music sounds like this unless it's the traditional oldskool funk type music.
