I loved this movie as a kid and now I love it even more. The love between her and Robert is so magical. Like I love how he was the real world grumpy man she wasn't expecting to be her true love and he gave her real, in every sense, in life and in love. While she gave him the love and magic he didn't know he needed.
The way Robert is sitting on his bed as the camera slowly zooms in on him in that long shot with the lighting and music perfectly explains his emotions during that quick part. He is slowly starting to develop feelings for Giselle and yet it's a struggle for him because he still has Nancy in his life and loves her too. The crew of this film did a hell of a job with that very quick part, the music, the directing, the editing, the cinematography, etc. Not to mention Patrick Dempsey's amazing acting and expressions as well too. This movie will forever be a favorite of mine and one of the biggest inspirations I have of becoming a filmmaker!
Its cute because he represents pure masculinity. Very realist, perhaps TOO much, to the point of being dreadful. Meanwhile, shes just sp feminine, lovely, full of sweet positivity, to the point of being too naive. Of course they are attracted to each other. They complement each other.
